OK. The answer is the speaker's son.
Let's say X is the grandfather, Y is the father(the man asking the question), and Z is the son(the answer to the riddle).
That man(Z)'s father(Y) is my(Y) father(X)'s son(Y). The first part just means the man asking the riddle(Y) is an only child, so the answer can't be his nephew or anything.
Did I clear it up or make things more confusing?lol.

A grown boy. His father is an only child. The grown boy is a man. That man's (the grown boy's) father is his father's son, (his father is the grown boy's grandfather). This riddle speaks of 3 generations within one family: the grandson, the grandson's father and the grandfather.

The person speaking in the riddle is referring to his own son. And "that man's grandfather" (in the same line of reasoning) is the same as the speaker's father. I hope this helps.

Let's break it down. Brothers and sisters I have none; therefore, I am an only child. My father's son, therefore, is me. I am that man's father. Therefore, "that man" is my son.

the man would be your son making you the father as you are an only child

The man is probably looking at a photo of himself and saying that. Or perhaps the mirror. He's simply talking about himself.

like um...."my father's son" is YOU, because you have no brothers or sisters, so you father has only one son, which is YOU.
if that man's father is YOU, then that man must be your SON.
