If your body cannot handle high cholesterol levels in food, then you should avoid eggs.
Other wise, there is no reason to limit yourself to 2 eggs per week. One per day is fine for most people. Most people will absorb cholesterol from food, and if they take in too much there body will make less extra cholesterol.
Egg whites are a perfect protein source, with all of the essential amino acids. The white and yolk both have lots of vitamins. If you are eating an otherwise low cholesterol diet, eggs are fine to eat.

That's not true, unless you are allergic to eggs. Because egg yolks are high in cholesterol a few years ago the National Heart, Lung, and Blood institute (NHLBI) recommended that a heart-healthy diet should limit intake to no more than 4 yolks per week including the egg yolks in baked goods and processed foods. This is not the only recommendation regarding eggs. The American Heart Association acknowledges that it's possible to fit an egg a day into a healthy diet, but that you should limit dietary cholesterol from other sources, including baked goods. A Michigan State University study, reported in 2000, analyzed the diets and blood-cholesterol data for more than 27,000 people—a representative cross-section of the U.S. population. It found that cholesterol was lower in people who ate more than four eggs per week than among people who did not eat eggs. Also, some people react differently to the cholesterol in eggs. Not all people respond similarly to cholesterol. There are studies that have shown that 30 to 40 percent of any given population is made up of "hyperresponders." In these people, blood-cholesterol concentrations spike disproportionately in response to dietary cholesterol. As if that weren't enough to confuse the issue, eggs are not all created equal. Free-range, pasture fed chickens produce eggs that have much lower levels of LDL cholesterol, less saturated fat, more vitamin A, more omega-3 fatty acids, more vitamin E, and much more beta carotene. If you find a local farmer or someone with backyard chickens that run around in the sunshine, eat grass, fresh greens, bugs, and a balanced diet of seeds and grains and get to socialize within a flock, buy their eggs. You will be doing yourself a favor. Food science is still a fairly new science and we are still finding out new things about what we eat and how it effects us. I believe that eggs will soon be rediscovered as a miracle food and restrictions of 4 eggs a week will be considered silly. If you have diabetes, high coronary heart disease, high-LDL cholesterol or other cardiovascular disease, you may want to keep your egg intake low. But if you are healthy, and active you should be able to eat several eggs a week.

I don't know where you heard that but it is not true. I am taking a food and nutrition class and our teacher said that it is not advised to consume more than 5 eggs per week because that is all the cholesterol you should consume from the eggs in a week, however if you consume more than that i assure you it will not put your health in "danger." Hope I helped.

One large egg has 72 calories, 5 grams of fat, 6.3 grams of protein, and 212 mg of cholesterol. If you do not have high cholesterol, it is one of nature's gems, nutrition-wise. Enjoy!
If you do have high cholesterol, you should limit your intake. Or, if you like an egg for breakfast, have some oat cereal or other cereal with a lot of soluble fiber with it. The soluble fiber ties up the cholesterol so not all of it is absorbed.

No. Not at all. I eat at least 4 or more a week, and my cholestrol is perfect. It's just a bunch of hullabaloo.

it's depends on your body metobolism status. young children can have 3 eggs per day... and for adults, 20yo up... can only have 2eggs to 5 eggs per weeks. not only concern about wat u eat, and please mind to do more exercise. and make sure it more than 15 minutes, to burn out all harmful colestrol and oil from your body. it refreshing your mind also~
