Are Eye Glasses Cool?

My cousin is 10 years old and she is wondering if eye glasses are cool.

Well, I have several pairs myself. I sell many pairs every day. People even come in looking for cool glasses just o buy without prescription. Little Girlie places in the mall sell fake dressy glasses too, so I would say the masses think that they are cool.

i have worn glasses for the last 43 yrs of my 48 yrs of life they can have their cool times and other times when people are immature they arent but you need to see if they are for you to see you need them and after while well the better the glasses get when your parents make you were a certain type and you hate it well just think it wont be long you can wear contacts or cool glasses so yes glasses can be cool mine are because i picked them out

hello, well it depends. some glasses enhance the image of a person. some make them look bad. so the user must be selective of the glass frames he chooses. personally i think wearing glasses is cool as it gives you that authoritative look. for me it even makes me look better (haha!).

but on a serious note, nothing still beats no needing to wear one.

There are a lot of cool frames available now, so if she can find something she really likes, and wear them confidently, I think so. (I'm going to the eye doctor tomorrow to get the purple metal and plastic ones I picked out for myself, and there were so many great styles available it was really hard to pick.)

some eyeglasses are cool because of the design and some just look plane goofy or nerdish. So yes SOME eyeglasses are cool

Not really but I think being able to see better is pretty cool.

maybe not at that age, but they are later on in life. (mostly because nerds at that age learn to "own it" so far as poindexter-ish eyewear goes)

but since contacts are a major hassle (especially at that age), just tell her they are and show her a picture of rivers cuomo (of weezer fame) or masi oka (from heroes) to convince her.

I think they are. I always hope my vision doesn't get so bad that I need surgery, so I can keep wearing them.
