Hi, Ashley.
Jesus never spoke of a fiery hell , nor any of the prophets (that I can discern). Inspection of the original languages kinda lays that to rest. http://www.gospelthemes.com/hell.htm
Don't worry so much about your salvation, or the salvation of anyone close to you. Paul said all you have to do is confess Christ in Romans 10:9. Later, he says that "every knee shall bow and every tongue confess" ( Romans 14:11 ).
Contemplate and accept this: God loves you, regardless of all the dogma that circulates in stifling religions. Explore God (and the possibilities) on your own ; He commands you to do so.
But, for the sake of argument, let's say there was a fiery hell. Do you think God would send stillborn babies there? Were they baptized? And would they be condemned for not being so?
Is baptism good? Of course it is. It is a public acknowledgment of Christ. Is it necessary for redemption? No way. Jesus said to the thief on the cross next to Him:
Luke 23:39-43:
39One of the criminals who hung there hurled insults at him: "Aren't you the Christ? Save yourself and us!"
40But the other criminal rebuked him. "Don't you fear God," he said, "since you are under the same sentence? 41We are punished justly, for we are getting what our deeds deserve. But this man has done nothing wrong."
42Then he said, "Jesus, remember me when you come into your kingdom."
43Jesus answered him, "I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise."
Think about this for a while. Digest it. Then you will know the love of God.
E-mail me if you feel the need to.
God bless.

If you are a believer in Christ, and have repented of your sins, and have confessed Jesus as Lord, baptism is a very important part of the formula. The book of Acts is full of scriptures that tell us that baptism is a part of the salvation experience. Now, if you believe but don't get baptized, does that mean it doesn't count and you'll go to hell? I can't say for sure- I accepted Christ a year before I got baptized, and my life changed. I eventually did get baptized. I still struggle with the question if baptism is absolutely necessary because of the church teaching I received, but the pastor I'm under now has explained the necessity of baptism by pointing out many scriptures in Acts. Check these out:
Acts 2:36-41, Acts 8:9-13, Acts 8:35-39, Acts 9;17-18, Acts 10:44-48, Acts 16:14-15 Acts 16:30-34, Acts 18:7-8, Acts 19:1-5, Acts 22:12-16. In every one of these instances, baptism was required for the salvation experience. Apparently the early believers thought it was essential. We need to decide whether to believe what the Bible teaches, or what people in our church tell us. I tend to think the Bible is a little more reliable.
You won't necessarily go to hell if you don't go to church, but you will have a much more difficult time walking closely with the Lord if you don't, and the temptation to stray from God will be impossible to overcome if you don't go to church.

I don't think it's up to any of us to say with certainty that anyone else will go to hell. All I can tell you is that baptism is a very important beginning to the Christian journey. Whether you believe it confers grace upon you or simply that it's a public demonstration of faith and an act of obedience to Christ's command, it's really essential. At your baptism you are made a member of the Body of Christ, marked and sealed as Christ's own forever. No one can ever take you away from Christ after that.
Does that mean people who aren't baptized won't be saved? Personally, I don't think so, but it isn't up to me anyway. But I also don't think anyone should get baptized out of the fear of going to hell. That's like getting married because you're pregnant-- it'll never really feel right.
As for the church question, if you don't attend church AT ALL or even join one, there might be an issue with your faith, but no, that won't cast you into the fires of hell.

Salvation of the eternal soul is by entering into the covenant of the New Testament with the one true God. This means repenting of your sins and asking Jesus into your heart as your personal Lord and Savior.
Baptism is the SYMBOLIC washing away of sins. It's a public profession of faith. No, you will NOT go to hell if you aren't baptized. But, being baptized DOES strengthen your spirit (in my belief).
Going to church is for several reasons. One is to grow in the spirit. Another is fellowship with other faithful. Another is to worship the one true God as a group. Church will help you grow and mature in the spirit. But, NO you will not go to hell for not attending church (regularly or not at all).

Historically even Jesus was baptized. It is a conscious commitment to acknowledge God into your life.
I don't think you will go to hell for not being baptized or not attending church. I think that God is so Loving that that will not be an obstacle because you are save by the grace of God and if you seek first the kingdom of God and his rightiousness, all else will be added unto you. You will probably then desire to be baptized and have a relationship with God. Faith comes from hearing the word so the bible says. You might want to go to church to just listen and see what happens. God know your heart and only you can turn your back on God. He does not turn his back on you.

It would depend upon the covanent or contract that a person has with their god(s) and what they have vowed before their god(s) to uphold. Which is why a person cannot say if another is guilty of sin, since they cannot know what they have sworn to uphold.
Deut 23:21-23 If you make a vow to the LORD your God, do not be slow to pay it, for the LORD your God will certainly demand it of you and you will be guilty of sin. But if you refrain from making a vow, you will not be guilty. Whatever your lips utter you must be sure to do, because you made your vow freely to the LORD your God with your own mouth.
Some religious groups like to tell or 'enslave' people to their religious definitons, and history tells us they even go so far as to KILL anyone that doesn't bow to their relgious ideals or idols. Many of the monothestic sects still use the 'Convert or Die" motto/practice.
Convertion was a NO-NO under the old laws of god in the OT. See Deuteronomy 13. Since basically a convertor CLAIMS that their god is everywhere, but if they have to go somewhere and show or tell another about their god--is it really everywhere? In Deut 13, an OTHER god is defined as one that a person personally has not known or a god that was unknown to their fore fathers.
As far as 'Baptism', many sects use water as a cleansing or initiation practice. Passing from a state of tameh (impurity) to tahor (purity) according to Torah (Judism) involved bringing the prescribed sacrifices and purification through tevillah (immersion), a washing by water in a mikvah. Some pagani traditions, use water and/or salt in cleansing ceremonies.
As far as regular church going, technically according to scripture 'Churches' would be an abomination to god.
Exodus 20:25 "If you make an altar of stones for me, do not build it with dressed stones, for you will defile it if you use a tool on it." If ya want to venerate god, why would a person go to a man made structure? Isn't god EVERYWHERE? Isn't a person in the presence of the SPIRIT every moment of everyday?
Which also arises another question, IF god is everywhere, how can there be a hell--a place without god? Some might say that such a place can only exist within the minds of some people.
In the OT scriptures, there wasn't a 'heaven' or 'hell', everyone whether 'good' or 'bad' all went to the same place--Sheol. Since in the OT, god was the giver of EVERYTHING--the good as well as the bad.
Isa 45:7 I form Light and create darkness, I make weal(well-being) and create woe(misery/sin), I am the Lord, who do all these things.
Deut 32:39 "See now that I myself am He! There is no god besides me. I put to death and I bring to life, I have wounded and I will heal, and no one can deliver out of my hand.
EXO 4:11 The LORD said to him, "Who gave man his mouth? Who makes him deaf or mute? Who gives him sight or makes him blind? Is it not I, the LORD ?

No. A person goes to Hell because they don't have the righteousness of Christ imputed to them. If you're a Christian who is trusting in Christ alone, any action that you perform (i.e., going to church and getting baptized) are actions that result from your salvation - not an addition to it that makes it more secure than it already is. I mean, if Jesus' righteousness is not enough to save you - how can our best attempts at obedience? So, in answer to your question, no. If you're not baptized or if you don't go to Church - you won't go to Hell. However, if you are a Christian - I believe you'll desire to fellowship with other believers and follow after your Lord into the waters of baptism.

The hell is not what you think. Everybody of us are going to be in the "hell", which is an state of unconsciousness. Even Jesus was in the "hell" (read the Bible and you´ll see that). Because it´s not a place, but it´s an state of unconsciousness, after our death. (just as if you were sleeping, waiting for being resucitated by Jesus. Jesus was resucitated by God, by his Father).
The baptism symbolize that you want to worship God (if you want to be forgiven, you only have to put faith in the sacrifice that jesus did when he was on earth, and ask for forgiveness to God, and show that you are really sorry. That´s it).
Attend to the right church will help you know what God wants from you. But, you must attend the right church, that is, you must talk to JW. (they will help you a lot)
Best Regards

No it's all hogwash. You don't have to attend church or get baptized to stay out of hell. You can worship quietly in your own way and practice your own beliefs without going to hell.

If you are not Baptized by the Holy Spirit you will not go to Heaven. Water Baptism has nothing to do with Salvation. And if you are really saved and have the Holy Spirit in you and have that personal relationship with Jesus Christ you will want to go to church every time you can. If you do not feel the desire to go to church something is wrong. You maybe at the wrong Church, or you may not be saved. Pray and ask God to show you if you need to be saved, if you draw nigh unto Him He will draw nigh unto you.
