Gas pumps say all taxes included on them usually, at least around here. It doesn't matter if you fill up or only get $20 worth ... it's included in the price per gallon as you pump it. There is no returnable amount on gas. Sorry, it's expensive and the state funds use gas taxes, major rip off if you ask me!

-Business yes, sorry, just forgot but personal use no. A lot of private business owners buy their private vehicles through their company as well.

Yes, tax is included in the price of gas. Unless your driving is for business (and driving from home to work and back doesn't count) you can't deduct gas costs.

no, if I pump $20 I pay for it with a $20 bill, not $20.28 (14% tax) But the price of gas here is government regulated, so tax is prbly included in the price per litre.

Yes, the tax is included but it is not a "sales tax". It is an "excise tax" and therefore not eligible to be deducted on your Schedule A as a sales tax.

Yes, tax is included. Only a few states allow you to deduct federal taxes:

You can only deduct state and/or federal taxes if you itemize:

You bet that tax is included. About getting a refund for taxes paid... I doubt it but maybe an accountant can help. Here's a chart.
