Is it even implied anywhere from Genesis to Revelation? There seems to be so much discourse in here about this topic, yet the obvious is overlooked that being that God told Adam and Eve NOT to eat from the "Tree" of Knowledge of Good and Evil. How does anyone get free-will from that?

Your thoughts, please.

Free will was what Adam and eve lost in the garden, lost mankind hasn't had it since, but just as the serpent deceived eve he goes on deceiving the church. Probably 90% of christian churches teach this doctrine of the devil. What the bible teaches is unsaved man is spiritually dead and in bondage to the flesh and satan nothing about him is free least of all his will. After he is delivered by the mercy of Christ then he is set free " he who the son sets free is free indeed",but then he does'nt say "my free-will" but Gods will be done.

Galatians 5
Freedom in Christ
1It is for freedom that Christ has set us free. Stand firm, then, and do not let yourselves be burdened again by a yoke of slavery. [Sin]
13You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature[a]; rather, serve one another in love.

It is also implied in the creation story that man was free to obey or disobey God. Adam and Eve disobeyed. They ate the forbidden fruit. We will also find the direct use of the word in the book of Sirach.

Their "free will" was the decision to obey or disobey. But to answer the original question you posed the "term free will" is NOT found in scripture but the concept is. 3 Examples:

Gen 4:7 If you do well, will you not be accepted? And if you do not do well, sin is crouching at the door. Its desire is for you, but you must rule over it." ESV

Josh 24:15 And if it is evil in your eyes to serve the LORD, choose this day whom you will serve, whether the gods your fathers served in the region beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you dwell. But as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD." ESV

Deut 30:19-20 I call heaven and earth to witness against you today, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse. Therefore choose life, that you and your offspring may live, 20 loving the LORD your God, obeying his voice and holding fast to him, for he is your life and length of days, that you may dwell in the land that the LORD swore to your fathers, to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, to give them."
ESV

Hope this helps!

They had a choice to obey or not obey what God told them, we all have a choice whether to do good or evil, you can read throughout the Bible where good verses evil and the consequences there of.

It's implied not delinated.

We can solve the problem simply. If we are all puppets and have no free will then GOD is responsible for all and cannot send people to hell because he made them the way they are.

God is totally and completely responsible for those he denies free will to. It is that simple.

It is imposable to have freewill with an Omnipotent God. Every one must do what the Omnipotent God known they will do. Therefore no free will. Free will is passable only without a God.

We have free will but not freedom from responsibility - there are consequences to the decisions we make. So God said if they ate from the tree they would die, they chose to ignore his word and so they suffered death.

If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must master it." Gen. 4:7

Yes, he told them NOT to do so, yet they freely chose to disobey Him and DO so anyway! That's what free will is! God didn't force them to do His will. He revealed His will to them, and then let them freely choose to do His will or their own.
