If so...doesn't that take away the entire "free will" thing Christians advocate?

He judges us on how we live our lives. Whether your a good person or a bad person. He doesn't play favorites and he loves everyone equally. It doesn't destroy our agency, but if we choose to follow His commandments and listen then you'll most likely be saved.

Yep that's the way it works.

Nope. It's got everything to do with free will.

There's a Y in the road and one way leads to the fire and brimstone.

You choose which way to go.

Ignorance is no excuse

Let's say there is a nuclear war and you choose the wrong path and get contaminated. Doctors refuse to let you into a shelter because of the radation. That is their right. You chose the path to take. Your ignorance is not a viable excuse to be admitted to a shelter where you might contaminate everyone.

That's how it works. It's called Triage and it's practised by doctors on a regular basis. There is a 20 car pile up, they do not waiste their time on those with so much internal damage that they can't be easily saved, they do not forsake those who can be saved to work on someone with a simple bone fracture.

The near dead and the slightly injured are left in a corner for their fates, while Doctors do surgery on those they know they can save.

That is how an ER room works in real life.

No that is up to you man we have a free will how we use it is up to you. God say's that for all have sinned and have fallen short of the glory of God. The Bible also say's That God so loved the world the He gave His only begotten Son, that whosover believeth in Him shall nit perish but have everlasting life. God cared so much about you and me that He sent His Son to die for you and my sins, If that is not love what is.

Yes

Please read Romans 9 and Ephesians 1

No one in and of themselves has the capability to come to Christ unless the Father draws him/her.

John 6:44 No one can come to Me unless the Father who sent Me draws him; and I will raise him up at the last day.

John 6:60-70 Therefore many of His disciples, when they heard this, said, “This is a hard saying; who can understand it?” When Jesus knew in Himself that His disciples complained about this, He said to them, “Does this offend you? 62 What then if you should see the Son of Man ascend where He was before? 63 It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life. 64 But there are some of you who do not believe.” For Jesus knew from the beginning who they were who did not believe, and who would betray Him. 65 And He said, “Therefore I have said to you that no one can come to Me unless it has been granted to him by My Father.”
66 From that time many of His disciples went back and walked with Him no more. 67 Then Jesus said to the twelve, “Do you also want to go away?”
68 But Simon Peter answered Him, “Lord, to whom shall we go? You have the words of eternal life. 69 Also we have come to believe and know that You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.”[a]
70 Jesus answered them, “Did I not choose you, the twelve, and one of you is a devil?”

I think personifying God gives people something to blame for their own misbehaviour. What if the decision was the 'medium' goodness of all human life, and anyone who'd lived below that point went to Hell and anyone who lived above that point went to heavan - at least then people would think about being good.

The only once responsible for us being saved is us. God gives us the freedom to choose captivity of Satan or freedom of God.

Correction: God KNOWS who will and will not be saved. The actual choices are up to us. Do you choose to be saved? If not then you are lost.

No. We are given free will.
Once, a rich young Israelite ruler asked Jesus: “What must I do to inherit everlasting life?” (Mark 10:17) His question may have reflected the prevailing Jewish thinking of his time—that God demands certain good works and that by performing enough of those works, one can earn salvation from God. But that kind of formal devotion could spring from selfish motives. Such works failed to provide a sure hope of salvation, since no imperfect human could really measure up to God’s standards.

In answer to the man’s question, Jesus simply reminded him that he should obey God’s commandments. The young ruler quickly assured Jesus that he had kept them from his youth on. His response moved Jesus to feel love for him. Jesus said to him: “One thing is missing about you: Go, sell what things you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven, and come be my follower.” The young man, however, went away grieved, “for he was holding many possessions.” Jesus thereafter emphasized to his disciples that excessive attachment to this world’s goods gets in the way of attaining salvation. He added that no one can gain salvation by his own efforts. But Jesus went on to reassure them: “With men it is impossible, but not so with God, for all things are possible with God.” (Mark 10:18-27; Luke 18:18-23) How is salvation possible?

Salvation is a gift from God, but it does not come automatically. (Romans 6:23) There are certain basic conditions that each individual must meet to qualify for that gift. Jesus said: “God loved the world so much that he gave his only-begotten Son, in order that everyone exercising faith in him might not be destroyed but have everlasting life.” And the apostle John added: “He that exercises faith in the Son has everlasting life; he that disobeys the Son will not see life.” (John 3:16, 36) Clearly, God requires faith and obedience from each individual who hopes to obtain everlasting salvation. Each one must make the decision to accept the ransom and to follow in Jesus’ footsteps.

Since we are imperfect, it is not our natural inclination to obey and it is impossible for us to obey perfectly. That is why Jehovah provided a ransom to cover our sins. Nevertheless, we must continually strive to live in accord with God’s ways. As Jesus told the rich young ruler, we must keep God’s commandments. Doing so brings not only God’s approval but also great joy, for “his commandments are not burdensome”; they are “a refreshment.” (1 John 5:3; Proverbs 3:1, 8) Still, it is not easy to hold on to the hope of salvation.

God doesnot chose who is saved and who is not. Hell was created for the devil and his angels, not man. Its Gods will that all man be saved. If we go to hell it is because we refuse to serve Jesus Christ. Remember John 3:16, For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. All we have to do is believe in our hearts that Jesus is who he says he is and we can be saved, if you have never accepted Christ as your personal Saviour you can do so right now, just say this simple sinners prayer believing in Jesus who died on the cross for you, just say Dear Jesus, I know and confess that I am sinner in need of salvation. I believe you died on a cross at calvery and arose from the grave to wash away my sins, I ask you right now to come into my heart and save me, I pray this Prayer believing in the name of Jesus Amen. If you prayed this prayer with a sincere heart you are now a child of God, rejoice that your name is written in the Lambs book of Life. Jesus will now send his Holy Spirit to come and live in your heart and guide you into all truth. If you have any questions just send me an email, God Bless YOU!!

No, in the following verses the word Prophet is capitalized because the Prophet here is Jesus who is God:

Deu 18:18 I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee, and will put my words in his mouth; and he shall speak unto them all that I shall command him.
Deu 18:19 And it shall come to pass, that whosoever will not hearken unto my words which he shall speak in my name, I will require it of him.

Jesus Christ, born of a virgin, died on the cross to save us from our sin, rose the third day to conquer death for us, ascended to heaven to prepare a place for us, and is coming back to get all who believe this.
Do you believe this?
Would you like to go with Jesus when He returns?
