okay so my boyfriend's mom told him that i was a controlling gf becuz i asked my bf can he come over cuz i was bored and then he said okay and then i drove down to pick him up. and i tuold him can he plz hurry cuz it was cold,she was talking ti him and then when he got in the car he told me his mom said that i was controlling.? wtf?...well is she being like this? i didnt mean to rush him

the mom is being too overprotective like my bf's mom who is sort of controlling..i think that his mom feels threatened by you playing a major role in her son's life because for so long she way the # 1 person in his life and because she feels that no one will ever be good enough for her son and she will tear you apart will all these comments..my best advice is to ignore what she says because if you keep paying attention then you feed her to say more things vs. if you ignore her which is the best medicine.it was your bf's choice to come over and his choice to spend time with you and not hers.learn how to be yourself because you will never please everyone and you should not impress others but rather be the person you are.as time passes and she says that your bf is in love with you she will cut you slack as long as she starts to trust you.ignore her,move on and live your life for you and not for her.also remember that yo are dating her son and not her too.also try making some brownies or some cake or fave food the family enjoys,bring some flowers or rather a bamboo in a vase to her..the bamboo represents lotalty and sincerity and strengh..

umm have u done anything else to make his mom think that ur controlling? if not maybe she was just having a bad day or maybe she doesn't like u ( i hope thats not true) or she could be a little over protective of her son. it could be a lot of things to be honest. u may have to be the bigger woman and have a talk with her to see whats up!

The saying goes something like she thinks that because it is actually her that is controlling and needed to talk to him, needed his attention, you were getting it and she is controlling and control seems to be in your hands so to her it looks controlling.
However, it was his mom and if you are acting telling him to hurry in front of his mom who is talking to him it will look rude and controlling.

perhaps ur gf's mom thinks that way becoz u interrupted their conversation and rush him just to accompany u.....maybe that's what she thinks.....i got upset when my bf's mum said i was selfish as i did not allow my puppy to share water with her big dog......but i got over it after sometime and i tried to chat with her whenever i go to my bf's house....and i am always polite and courteous to her.....i even bought some snacks that she love for her and she liked me now.....maybe u should try chatting more with her and buy something that she likes for her? I'm sure she will love u too... :)

if you love him and want to marry him, don't get in bad with his mom.
if you drove over to pick him up, why were you so cold?
mom can jack up the relationship. better to have a friend than an enemy.
try to make amends and kiss up to her.

Sounds like she is the controlling one. Mothers love to control their sons. My mother would love it if she could control me.

I wouldn't let it bother me mothers always have something smart to say. She sees her son all in love and jumping when you call and his mom wants him to say no sometimes, don't worry about it!
