I have lower back pain all the time and it radiates to the budocks and both legs for the past year,i have had every test done under the sun ,bone scans MRIs,nerve coduction tests and i even had an Epidural "shot of steriods into my Spine" !
Abosolutly nothing helps .pain management said nothing shows on the tests so there for i have no pain and i said tell the pain that.
I have seen a Chiropractor befor to no avail but i'm trying a different Chiropractor now and he is streching my spine so i wont know if that helps for anouther 3 weeks or so.
My Doctor wants to refer me to a Nuro surgen so i'll proably give that a try later on.
I'm takeing Vickaden for pain releif but thats just a tempoary fix for a few hours. I am allso considering accupuncure as a last resort.
You can allso try heat and ice to see if that does anything for you.
Good luck

Hi,
what ever you do dont go to the chiro again waste of time.
I have had problems with my lower back fo years pain in the buttcks the groin the left leg and its horrible and when it gets realy bad it affects your bladder, Dont do sits ups go and do pilates or beginers class of yoga and also do swimming with fins and a kicking board and just swim back and forth doing 1 to 2 km 3 times a week it will strenghten your lower back.
Also get a cat scan done to hav a look at your disc's in your lower spine.good luck and look after your back my problems started at the same time 17.

It's your sciatic nerve which splits from your spinal cord and runs down your buttock and down your legs. I had really bad trouble with mine for years. Went to the chiros and got no relief at all, one hurt me pretty bad. Another doctor actually put me on tranquilizers! I finally went to a sports medicine clinic that does all of the college athletes in town. They gave me a series of stretches and exercises that fixed it perfectly. Takes about 8 minutes a day.
Mine was bad enough that I couldn't raise my right leg to go up stairs and driving my car was painful because I had trouble pushing the gas peddle. He told me it was from my hamstrings getting too short and pressing on the nerves. If your can easily lean over and touch your toes without pain then this isn't it. Good Luck!

Dont go back to the chiropractor instead make a Dr.Appointment and explain this to the Dr. and see about getting some bone x-rays if you've been on the Depo(Birth Control Shot) its possible you could have Osteopena or Osteoporosis, whatever the case Dont Ignore it.

sounds just like the sciatic nerve which radiates pain from hip down leg, try different chiro.

stop wearing those high-heeled shoes.
Or tell him to take it easy.
