I have an overseas pharmacy degree and just finished MBA in Australia. I am looking to getting a 2 months customer service experience to have that feel of direct contact with a customer to provide the service.

I do some food deliveries but there is no much talking, just How are you and the price is:"

I was wondering about a shop in a mall. I applied already but was refused, I think mainly it is too good to have an MBA for shop assistant, isn't it.

Do you have any idea how to get the X-mas rush experience without scaring the employer away? I was honest that I wanted only 2 months, should I lie to want more?

I plan to get a real job in Feb/March 2008.

Try some temp agencies. I did quite well with them when I first graduated, and many years later between jobs. My son is working for Kelly now, and starting a new customer service job tomorrow.

If you can stomach it for 2 months be a telemarketer. That's customer service. Telemarketer = customer service rep. Even though most of your customers don't want your service there are some that do.

Besides if it's only for 2 months you'll be fine. The call centers I know of let you set your own hours. Ask about the pay rate cause it might change depending on the shift you work. Ex: 8am - 4pm = $8/hr. 5pm - 11pm = $9/hr.
But don't feel as if you have to only wk day shift or only work night shift. If you wanted to work from 1pm - 7pm you'd get paid $8/hr from 1-4 and $9/hr from 5-7.

What about a meat counter wrapper. It's constant customer interaction and your people skills are definitly used every day. It's hard work sometimes espesially around the holidays when people are in such a rush, they can be a pain.

You could work or volunteer at a charity thrift store. Or you could not list your education and the fact you will drop the job in 2 months time. Best of luck to you!
