YES and YES...I'm a living example. It's like man vs. self because inside you are battling your heart. Parts of your heart want him to just be happy. Parts of you are his friend and want to be unselfish and then there are parts of you that beg for him to want you back. There are parts of you that want to hate him although you can't. It feels like hell, because even though he doesn't love you back, you still play the fool. You smile at every e-mail, every text and every phone call. Your heart runs to his every need. And at the end of the day you feel like crap all over again. That's how I feel everyday!

yes, quite painful. We does one cast his or her heart to someone unavailable to him or her. Pick out what you like about this person. Work on yourself to figure out why you want to give so much for a poor investment. Why do you pick someone who does not love you back? Why don't you think you are worth being loved? Do you love the idea of being in love and not really the person?

of course. i think everyone goes through this in life. and i think it happens for a reason. whether its bad. and it can turn out to be good in the future. you never know. it hurts. but you know what. you always learn something from that kind of situation. and sooner or later. you will move on and find someone that loves you back.

He started to have feelings for me, but he picked on me, something small and I analyzed the hell out of it and did my famous injection of poison attacked him with words, pissed him off, then he hurt my feelings and ran out on the town, then I hurt him back by walking out on him at a sensitive moment then he hurt me back when I tried to joke with him by totally rejecting me...now even though I know better, it hurt like hell and I had allready drunk dialed him the day before...so now we don't even communicate and seriously I think he is too proud to tell me he still has feelings. So I will have to date other people and let it go. I do still love him though...so pride is now in the way. HIS pride. Cant make someone do something they dont want to. I allready put myself out there.-Rachel.

Has happened four times to four people over the past four years. I get over it, and nobody ever likes me...now, I don't think too much of love anymore.

I was lucky he didn't love me. He wound up in prison and I wound up with a man who just celebrated 52 years of marriage.

Well I like to pretend they love me even though we aren't together. I'll never know. I hope that I'm not being stupid and loving a guy that doesn't love me.

yes, it hurts, but then i start focusing on their negative traits and i get over them. never day dream about the "good times" or that junk. he couldn't have been that great if he didn't love you back.

this subject has been writen about throuout history!
i'm from the era of "rock balads",the one that comes to mind is "love stinks"..the opening lyrics"he loves her,but she loves him,and he loves somebody else, you just ca'nt win".
there's a lot of truth to those old songs...broken hearts are seldom fatal tho...keep lookin!
