Christianity's answer to anything that can't really be answered is to take it on faith. I call faith the five letter four letter word. It is an easy way out. I spent years looking at religious beliefs and what they did and didn't do for me as a Christian. I came out an atheist. The non-Christian has the logic. When it comes to religion and faith versus logic, logic can't move the faithful if what they believe is attractive enough to the believer. When you believe in Christianity in spite of logic, it's because there is a psychological payoff. Religion makes the believer "feel good" about him or herself and that feeling can be so intense and rewarding that nothing else matters. Believers get an emotional reward for being believers in this life and they also believe that they will get another reward by getting another, better life in a perfect place after death. What could be more seductive? I think it takes real strength to not believe and take control and responsibility for living now. (So what happens if they are wrong and they only get this life?)

Logic is logic and fear is fear. More people should embrace logic. I do enjoy Monty Python's take on logic... the one where the scientist throws all logic to the wind in preference for a quick snog with his missus.

WHY ?? and I ask WHY again do you and others *think* that we Christians do NOT use logic..... you and others thinking that is sooooo illogical ..... Do YOU think the Bible answers EVERYTHING ?? NO....... so at times people DO have to use logic to come to certain conclusions and answers..... geeeeee, can't people like you think of another argument or excuse to or ideal or thought ??? This one , the *logic* topic is just soooooooo wore out it is sad....... and we *Christians* do NOT, and I repeat do NOT want or need yours' or anyone elses *fear*, it is NOT us you should fear at all........ and maybe you are debating the wrong *Christian*, or just maybe debating is just NOT part of being a Christian........ We do NOT need nor have to debate our faith, that is the beautiful part of FAITH........... go in peace....... God bless

It's no secret that a minority of very intelligent people lead a majority of very average people. It basically needs to be this way.
Atheists, along with our science & technology, are ushering in the next level in level in human progress. Bill Gates has done more to bring this planet together then any religion in history ever has, or will.

Why should s/he?
S/he has not been brain-washed nor is gullible and does not believe in a distorted dictatorship called 'logic'.
'Logic' requires an impartial mind, unbiased by religion or concepts or hypnotized.

I am married to an atheist and she has excellent reasons for her stance.
I am not going to dissuade her from her beliefs (or non-beliefs) for I respect what she has gone through.
I could not prove any better than you can, so I am content to let the matter lie fallow

Faith is NOT a contest, regardless whether you are theist, atheist or agnostic.
The problem is self-esteem. People feel threatened when other people have different beliefs from their own.
I suggest people not be worried about what others believe, but instead meditate on what they personally believe & try to reconcile it into a consistant set of beliefs.
my motto -
MY FAITH IS MY FAITH,
YOUR FAITH IS YOUR FAITH.
I pledge not to try to inflict my beliefs on you.
All I ask, is that you do the same.

Of course not....there is nothing to be afraid of Christians logic since all they "think" they know is nothing but lies. I feel sorry for them for wasting their lives.

Doesnt matter what Christians say, its what God says that counts. Christians(some) spread the true gospel of the Lord as we are commanded to do. It's up to whether you take God and His message seriously.
