1968 beetle wanting to know if its a special edition?

the blinkers are down in the front not on the fenders is there a special name for this kind if so where can i find out how many made in that year

It's just another VW. There is nothing special about any of them.

It may have older fenders on it or aftermarket fenders. Only 57 and earlier had low mounted directionals.

If they in the bumpers that was a after market type bumper. Doesn't make it a special model.
