No, he can't for only God is omnipotent, knowing all things, seeing all things and being at all places at once. Satan is a liar and a deceiver and would like you to think that he is in control of your mind.
Now there are his followers that were cast down from heaven with him known as demons. these demons take on assignments from Satan and bring upon a spiritual attack on you like putting thoughts in your mind. God has given you the authority to rebuke the evil thoughts that want to lead you to destruction. Do not allow yourself to become vulnerable to the lies of Satan and his demons for the word says "Greater is he that is in you (God) than he that is in the world (Satan)".

How scary a concept.
There is no devil. The only evil that exists in you is what you act out in society. For example, for argument sake, killing is a sin. You may want to kill someone, but you DO NOT DO IT. Doing it is the sin, it is also, for the most part bad for society.
If you think the devil puts thoughts in your mind, you may find some comfort with a mental health professional who can help you through if you need it.
You put thoughts in your mind. Since it is incredibly difficult to control what one thinks, some people ascribe other reasons for his or her thoughts. No devil, just your mind.

Absolutely the devil can put thoughts into your mind, look how he manipulated eve in the garden. He reads us like a book and he knows our weaknesses. Thats why we must read our Bibles everyday and Pray everyday. Resist the devil and he will flee from you. The Bible says that the demons also believe in Jesus and tremble. His word is powerful, we need to use it more. Great question!!!!!!

The devil is a created being, just as we all are. He can't do anything we don't give him the power to do. He seems so powerful because he's been around for a long time and he has become accomplished in the art of war. He gets to know us and plays on our weaknesses. It only seems like he's omniscient or reading our minds. Also, he's not omnipresent, but he does have minions, so that's why it seems like he's everywhere.

Hi, Fruitcake:
The Bible is specific on this one, as he possessed Saul and he became bipolar; Also, the Spirit of Satan entered Judas and he betrayed our savior. Even after Jesus healed a severed ear, the group, led by Satan, arranged his crucifixion. Not convinced? Demons can influence animals; recall that 600 demon possessed pigs jumped into the lake and drowned.
The devil, who deceived 1/3 of the holy angels has greater success with unsuspecting humans that don't believe in him.
There is a page you can read about Roger Morneau's escape from a Satan-worship cult. The high priest tells much of Satan's methods. See www.revelado.org/cult.htm

No the devil can not read your mind he is not God. Only God knows your thoughts and what you are going to do before you do it. He can put thoughts in your mind and try and corrupt your walk with God. But thats his job he is the father of lies.

Yes, but only you have the option to pay attention or to ignore. "The Devil made me do it" is false. You make all of your decisions, but the Devil tempts you. The Devil can't read your mind, though.

The best battleground for Satan is the Man's mind. That's where all sin begins. That's why the Bible teaches to keep captive every thought. There are so many layers in it all. But this is the beginning.

Evil is the absence of good. Like a tornado, evil (a void of good) can pick up momentum and take on a life of its own.
Another analogy of evil is "mold." It lives and grows in the dark and needs light (God) to stop spreading.
So to answer your question, one allows the Devil into his/her mind.
