Oh and this boy will flirt with me sometimes and not other times.
That's what I mean by hard to read

Look in his eyes if you both speak. You will see the real meaning of his words and actions.
And answer the question first:

Well, I know from past experience that you wanna get his attention by taking a Chinese bell and ringing it right in his ear. Then, he will notice you. And, if he doesn't then he has a serious problem and you should move on! Another suggestion would be to use the bend and snap. But make sure you watch Legally Blonde1 for refrence. GOOD LUCK

Be straight. Just say, "so what's your deal?"...he'll be all what? You can say something to the effect that you like someone and were wondering if he does like someone too. Get him alone, a note, I don't really know enough of the details, but honesty is generally the best policy.

The problem seems to be:
You should be reading a book, not a person.
You should "test" him, by asking him for money.
If he's really interested in you, he'll give you some.
If he's not, don't plan on getting rich.

My advice probably wont be the best, but try talking to other guys, flirt, laugh and have fun, see how he reacts. If he shows any signs of jealusy, then he likes you!

If he shows attention, there is some interest....
