Ah, but you forgot the rest of the verse. The wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. So any sin will send you to hell, the smallest sin. But because Christ paid for our sin, anyone who trusts him to pay for their sin is saved. And once you're saved you can't lose your salvation.

There is no possibility we can lose our salvation once we become saved. If we believe we can lose our salvation then we are trying to get to heaven by our good works. Think about it this way, what can we do to lose our salvation? If there is something that can be done to lose our salvation it also means on the flip side that there is something we must do to keep our salvation. If that is so then it means we are under the the law of works and not the law of grace. It means we are forced to obey the entire law of God *perfectly* in order to attain salvation, something no man other than Jesus Christ can do. Eternal salvation means that we will no longer be condemned, because all our sins have been paid for by Jesus when he was crucified on the cross.

Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus,[a] who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit.

No sin causes you to lose salvation. If you really are saved you are made a new person. You still will sin but you won't go out and repeatedly sin without knowing you are doing wrong and repenting.

2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

1 John 5:13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.

You can't lose your salvation, once you are a child of God. God was the One Who gave you His Holy Spirit as a downpayment, or deposit, of His reservation with you in Heaven, and it can only be cancelled by God, not you. And, He refuses to do so, because you now belong to Him, else why would He give you His Holy Spirit in the first place, just to take Him back? That just doesn't make any sense.

No sin that you commit now will cause you to lose your salvation. Breaking your fellowship with God in this life, yes, it does that, until you confess it and go on. It is like pulling the shades down on our loving Father, but He stays and waits patiently in sorrow, and even uses your choice to reject Him and rebellion in order to teach you that His way is best. Once we profess Christ, the only sin that causes us to be damned is blaspheming the Holy Spirit, which means no longer willing to believe what the Holy Spirit has bore witness of, that Jesus is the Christ. If you do this, and by your own concerns, I'm sure you're not, then you really never were possessed by Him, even though you made a profession, albeit for only a ceratin duraton of time.

Well, salvation through Christ is not something one can lose. In John 10:28 Jesus says, "I give them eternal life, and they will never die [spiritually]. And no person can steal them out of my hand." Therefore, we are eternally secure. Praise God!! However, if a person is continually participating in sin without any expression or desire to repent one might wonder if they were truly a believer in Christ in the first place. (1 John 1:5-6) We, as new creations through Christ, are going to still sin, but we are not slaves to it. We have been freed from sin to live as disciples of Christ who are being sanctified while on this earth. It's an everyday process. To answer the second question, in light of the answer to the first, decisions of sin, salvation, and spiritual things are God's to make. He doesn't keep us in the dark on how He will judge. His Word instructs us on how He'll make such decisions.

If you believe and have a personal relationship with Jesus, then His death has paid for your sin. There isn't any sin that is too great for Christ's death to pay if we accept Him as our Lord and Saviour.

The only way to lose our salvation is to turn away from God and live life our own way WITHOUT Him. We make the initial decision to live life without God, because of our pride and our belief that we do not need Him in our lives.

I have not heard of anyone deciding which sins causes us to lose salvation, so the question does not really reflect any facts.

"Why do these decisions get made?" It would be more helpful if you first established that these decisions are being made in the first place. You may have been mislead, sir.

The wages of being born imperfect in sin and dying from birth to death at any age or seventy Psm.90:10; for old age and by extra strength a time longer, but for sure we will die even if we do not ever commit a deliberate sin, as lie, steal, bear false witness, be a drunkard, be a fornicator, be two faced, be into drugs or be an abuser of others, and not pay our way or our debts or totally disregard God and Christ.
1Cor.15:22-28;
As in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive.

God makes these decisions because He is God and the only one qualified to do it. We only get the wage of death if we sin and are unrepentant. If we repent and try not to sin again, we are forgiven. We do not lose salvation, once we accept it, it's ours. What we lose is Gods favor, but this is only if we sin and are unrepentant

There is only one sin in which there is no forgiveness. Blaspheming the Holy Spirit. That is to say that the power of the Christ comes from Satan.

All have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God. There is none righteous , no not one.

We all deserve this death. the second death. Eternal separation from God. The Christ stands between this death and his people (the chosen) who are saved by grace not of works lest any man should boast.

This is the word of God.
