Another what if fantasy question in the military section.
Now which ancient African army would have such an army of rhinos at their disposal, seeing their has never been a united Africa, the place is just to big!!
How do you propose that control over the animal would have been maintained ?? seeing they attack anything around them regardless of "friend or foe".
And why do I even bother to respond to such dumb questions??

An army of Rhinos...well...if *I* had an Army of Rhinos I'd for sure by super rich by now. Those diamond mines would be mine and only mine.
But why stop at Rhinos...why not commission some Cheetahs, some crocodiles and some Vultures into your forces? You'd totally have Land, Air and an Amphibious Strike Capabilities.
I'd totally use that army and invent a time machine so to gain the upper hand in the Mau Mau Revolt of 1950 in Kenya. Why? Why not?!

Well I'd guess not much. Rhinos are terribly near sighted. Caltrops and gunpowder would nullify any advantage to the dismounted soldier while horsemen would have speed and endurance on their side (horses are faster and can run for greater distance).
