Hello. I am thirteen years old and I have strayed from the Lord quite a bit. I grew up Catholic, but I don't really agree with that religion anymore. I haven't been to church in years. I was thinking about getting saved, or reborn or whatever its called, as a non-denominational Christian. How do I go about this?

all you have to do to be saved is accept jesus christ, believe upon him and you are saved. he will lead you the rest of the way, where ever he has planned for you. just let him know that you love him and repent of your sins, tell him you accept him and to show you the way, god bless.

I want to say there is no "magical" formula. You simply speak to the Lord with a sincere heart. Recognize your sins, ask the Lord's forgiveness and turn from your sin. You won't be perfect, none of us are. He knows this. This is why he took on the form of a man so that we would have a sacrifice and he paid the price for our sins so we no longer have to sacrifice animals or go to a priest. We simply call on Jesus. Read your bible everyday. Talk to the Lord every day and when you slip up Just remember that he still loves you. Find a church local to you that teaches the TRUE word. You will know if it's true if you yourself read your BIBLE.
Ask the Lord to reveal to you the truth and if it's not biblical turn away from it. A lot is your own faith....Receive the Lord and Love him....He Loves YOU!

It is easy...Find a local non-denominational church in your area and attend it for a few times to see if you like the Preacher and the people there. Getting saved does not require you to be in a church..You can do it right where you are, right now...just ask Jesus to come into your heart and save you...Repent,,,turn away from any sin in your life,,,we usually know what we are doing wrong,,,,read your bible to find out how God wants you to live,,,the Gospel of John is a good place to start...then when you are ready, ask the Pastor to baptize you.
Visit a few Pentecostal Church's in your area,,,,I think you will like what you feel there...they preach exactly what the first church did...Read the book of Acts and pay attention to chapter ten..it is for today...don't let anyone tell you it isn't....

Talk to a pastor of a good church or to a strong Christian that you know . Pray sincerely and ask Jesus to take control of your life.
One scripture says Verily , Verily , I say unto you.......you must be born again. We are born physically by our mother...but this is talking about a Spiritual Birth. We are a spiritual baby and we have to grow.
Online, you can type how to be born again.
A lot of us mess up when we are young . God is a merciful God and he also forgives if someone truly repents.
If you can go to talk to someone, you could call on the phone.

Find a local church. Non-denominational ones as you suggested are good ones. Make sure they preach the Bible alone. Most non-denominational do. They normally have altar calls at the end of service.
Most important though is you do not have to wait until you find a church to be saved. If the Holy Spirit is calling you then ask Jesus to save you. Admit you are a sinner and ask Him to forgive you and be the Lord of your life. The Bible tells us if we believe in our hearts and confess with our mouths that Jesus is Lord we shall be saved. Pray and ask God to save you.
Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Listen, do you want to be a follower, and practice a religion your parents grew you up on just to satisfy them and all your catholic friends? I grew up catholic too, my life was at a complete mess and I turned to Allah and he really helped me. If you have any Muslim friends, you should ask them about the basics of Islam. Remember, keep an open mind. Christianity has too many unanswered questions and to me doesn't fit together. I found out about Islam through friends and on my own. It's really a peaceful religion, and it's a way of life. Pick up a quran, it may be the best desicion of your life. Do what you want to make yourself happy.

Romans 10:9 & 10
9That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved.
Just pray to the Lord that you believe He died for your sins, was raised from the dead by God, and confess Him as you r Lord and Savior. Be open to the leading of the Holy Spirit which will work in you to lead you from sin into a true Christian life.

First join a church, become a member and go to it. Then talk to the pastor about being saved.
