You are sealed by the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is what birthed you spiritually. You are no longer a body soul & dead/blind spirit. You are a new creation in Christ Jesus. Born of His Spirit & cleansed by His blood.

The old man died, you were washed & the new man alive in Christ forever more.

You were blind (spiritually) now you see (spiritually). You can see the Kingdom of God. You can boldly come to the throne of Grace whenever you need to. Because Jesus paid the price for you sins to be atoned for. The Father would have us worship Him in Spirit & Truth. You can worship the Father in Spirit & truth. (In the Spirit & honestly from your heart.)

You know in your knower you can pray to God & God answers. You know you have a relationship with God because of the blessed assurance in your spiritman that you are a child of God & can pray to God & be still & know God Is. And you can hear God. And then you trust & obey God.

Renew your mind in Gods Word & the Holy Spirit will bring to your mind what ever the Lord has said. And many time just when you need it rather than before you need it.

This is actually a very good question. I would disagree with anyone who would tell you that if you have to ask you can't be on the path of a connection/relationship to the Divine. Do we respond to people who ask, "how can I be certain that what I am feeling is love" with, if you have to ask, you can't know what love is? We can be uncertain of ourselves at many times of our life.. questioning, testing and challenging ourselves only leads to growth. If your path is valid then it withstands any challenges one can put to it. If you are sincere in desire to have a "relationship" then you are asking the perfect question to help YOU discover for yourself what is real and what is wishful thinking or worse, self-delusion.

There is a concept in Judaism called " Tikkun Olam" meaning in Hebrew, repair or perfecting of the world.

Judaism teaches that humanity's role is to work with each other to help God with perfecting and restoring or repairing anything out of harmony, any and all injustice or opression, any poverty, sickness, etc. Our walk with Hashem is more about deed than creed.

I shall try to explain how this works. It isn't about earning a ticket into heaven. It is about fulfilling what we believe our purpose for existence is all about and how we achieve connection to one another and to Hashem ( God)

Whatever behaviors one does repeatedly, become habit and thus the "nature" of the person. If you repeatedly act in greedy, thoughtless or hateful ways, or allow impulsive and rash emotional choices rule you those become habit and you reinforce this. It becomes HARD to do the right thing because you have made it easy to choose the "wrong" way..to separate yourself from the Divine as well.

If you live and act in a manner that fulfills this purpose of connection to the Divine source and make it the habit..the awareness of this connection grows and making wise decisions that are not harmful to self and others and benefit "tikkun olam" are reinforced and thus "become habit".

For many people, it appears to be a slow process of growth into an awareness of our connection to God, rather than some kind of overwhelming divine revelatory moment.

This is going to be a very different explanation than the perspective from one who belongs to a faith that teaches them that " works" mean nothing. Torah teaches that it is how we live that shows what we believe and that the purpose of our covenant is to be a light unto the nations as an example of how to connect to God. As in ancient days, Tikkun Olam is how that is achieved.

The most modern and broadly understood notion of tikkun olam is that of "repairing the world" through human actions. Humanity's responsibility to change, improve, and fix its earthly surroundings is powerful. It implies that each person has a hand in working towards the betterment of his or her own existence as well as the lives of future generations. Tikkun olam forces people to take ownership of their world. It is them, not G-d, who will bring the world back to its original state of holiness.

More simply, it is important for Jews to participate in repairing the world by participating in tzedakah (justice and righteousness) and g'milut hasadim (acts of loving kindness). Without their stake in the improvement of their environment, injustice and evil will continue to exist.

As the prophet Micah so succinctly stated : What does God require of you, Do justly, love mercy and walk humbly with your God.

Practice living as if you are in partnership with God in perfecting the world and then one day you'll understand that is exactly what you were doing :)

Shalom

EDIT TO NOTE: Judaism also teaches that such a connection is by NO means exclusive to those of the covenant of Israel.
