also, what defines an "assisted living facility?

Each and every resident under State care is required to have the supporter to have been given an authority to hand out the proper prescribed by a medical professional medication at the correct times of the day~~

Every state has different regulations for assisted living facilities. You should contact the facility or your state licensing branch. What exactly is an ALF is also different by state. Some are simply conjoined apartments that provide meals, some pass meds and some will actually assist physically in getting residents up and dressed, etc.
