I have a video on youtube and it is sideways. I saved it to my computer from my camera card. When I tried to view it on media player it said it couldn't play it. So I uploaded to see what would happen, and it is sideways, is there anyway to correct this? http://youtube.com/watch?v=8nbKDzThFAs

The Do-it-yourself guide.

1. Using "DownThisVideo.com" download the youtube video.

2. Using Super Video Converter, convert the video to an .MPG video file.

3. Using a video editor that lets you perform a "Rotate Canvass" rotate the video to the 'normal' position [movie maker won't do this].

4. Re-save this video in your favorite video format [.wmv, .mpeg, .divx... etc].

The Lazy-mans-Guide:

1. Go here and download the video already fixed.

2. Say "Thank You" and give me a high rating because I did the work for you!!

BTW: It took me longer to WRITE this answer than it did for me to fix the video for you.

Hope you enjoy it!

Import the video into Windows Movie Maker. Drag the clip into the timeline (or storyboard) at the bottom of the screen. Go to the Video effects (drop box at the top of the window) and drag the ROTATE 270 (or 90) onto the clip.

Now save the clip as a movie (file menu) and it will remain rotated to the proper axis.

Now go forth and never shoot video clips holding the camera sideways again.
