The Cops gave me her name/number and insurance name/number.

I just want her to cut me a check for the damage and be done with it. I won't even show up in court. Is it this easy?

I want a lot of things too. Listen- I know it's unfair your going to have to go through a bunch of hassle now- just to get your car back to normal. Life often is unfair. I've found that if I don't expect it to be fair, and find things to be grateful for- it just feels a lot better.
You have a lot to be grateful for.
1.) You didn't get hurt!
2.) They caught her!
3.)SHE HAS INSURANCE!

My car was totaled by a drunk with no insurance. I never did get any money out of the bum.

My insurance company gave me the money within a couple of days after my accident. They then went after the suspect for reinbursement. Contact her insurance company, might be easier to contact your insurance company and have them retrieve the money for you!! They may even be able to get you more.

If you think she is just going to write you a check, you are wrong. In all probability, you'll have to sue her.

Get a lawyer.
