I don't think there is any Federal laws regulating home occupancy. Each state may have some laws. Usually it is local laws that regulate occupancy. So you should contact you city planning department to see if it has any restrictions, many do not if it is a family home. If occupants are unrelated by blood or marriage, many cities have restrictions.

If it is a rental home or apartment, the landlord may have restrictions in the lease or rental agreement.

Some communities have covenants even on family owned home.

usually the law says- if you're renting- that there can be 2 people per bedroom plus 2 more, so you could have 10 people in a 4 bedroom house. If you OWN the home though, I don't see how anybody could tell you how many people could be there. I lived in San Jose, CA where immigrants would buy a house and have 1 entire family in each bedroom while they were working to get on theie feet! That's a little excessive!

It depends on what the lease states. Most landlords allow about 1 person per bedroom. Some allow more if they are family. It just depends.

It depends on the people .If it's family with children.a girl or girls must have there on bedroom.Boys must have there own bedroom.
If there is a spare bedroom it's a guest room.
Parents have there own bathroom,and the kids
there own.
The law says that once a child intering puberty.it has ti have a bedroom.

That would a question for the local fire marshall. Different places have different laws based on safety in the event of a disaster.
