Yes. If you read the gospels, you will see many instances of Jesus trying to break through the intolerance of the people of his day.
The parable of the "Good Samaritan" is one example. Samaritans were considered heretics, and Judeans wouldn't have anything to do with them.
When Jesus healed the ten lepers, only a Samaritan came back to say thank you.
Jesus healed a Galilean woman -- a pagan idolater -- and told her it was her faith that healed her.
He healed the daughter of a pagan Roman soldier.
Of course, over the 2000-year history of ignorant Christians, there are many, many bad examples of intolerance, inquisition, murder. But that's not how Jesus intended it to be. These were the actions of ignorant barbarians -- sometimes selfish, horribly corrupt barbarians.

Depends. As with everything there are Extremists, Moderates & then there's those who follow a faith more out of the familiararity.
For an Extreamist it is tolerant ONLY if everyone believes their personal Xian version.

well spiritually speaking, no. people go to hell. people to heaven. it's a fact (if you believe in the concept)
but tolerance has nothing to do wtih religion, if my first answer doesn't apply to you. i am tolerant as a christian. yes, i suggest my beliefs to other people- but i mean suggestion because they can turn it down, and i can't force it on them. and even if i could, that wouldn't make them believe, and i wouldn't if i could because people have rights to their beliefs, and if they won't listen at a suggestion, forcing them will just cause war
don't turn a vaccum into a blackhole

Some branches and denominations within Christianity are quite tolerant. Others are not. Some are very socially progressive, gay-friendly, have female clergy, promote liberal social programs, and are happy to engage in interfaith programs with non-Christians.

Fundamentally yes. No doubt you can point to many intolerant individual Christians; however the faith as a whole accepts ALL who will come and receive Jesus as their Lord and Savior. ALL being, no matter what their color, national or-gin, previous religious beliefs etc...
Further, Christianity does not force itself on anyone. Individuals may, but the faith itself teaches that Jesus stands at the door and knocks.
Freedom of conscience is a fundamental right for the Westminster Divines.

I would say for the most part, yes, except for the Evangelicals on the Right. They are only tolerant of those who believe exactly as they do. As John McCain called them, and correctly,"agents of intolerance".

In theory, it's supposed to be, because God is supposed to love all his Children, and we're all supposed to be children of God. Historically, however, Christianity has been the banner under which many bloody wars of intolerance have been fought. I would say that while Christianity teaches love and forgiveness, PEOPLE find reasons to hate each other, whether they are Christian or not.

it depends on who you ask...
I would say that overall Christianity is fairly tolerant, however there are some that are not tolerant of anyone else.
