You realy can't say anything at this point you have to back up with action this time..Ask him why he wants to break up with you,...pause..listen to what he has to say,...tell your side then, tell him in a serious voice that you still want to be friends with him, and then say good night...Leave him alone for at least one week then call him out of the blue, and ask him how he's doing, and go from there? If you keep this up you could have your man back within a month...But the real question is ..why? Like you said your 25 and you sound attractive..Why not just move forward with your life,(bettering yourself with schooling or something you can use later in life). And I know that you'll find a new love soon after...Good luck with operation patch up...and take care..

I think that you should just accept this breakup & move on. He gave you a cop out answer, which is something someone gives a girl when they really want out of a relationship, but they feel like they have to give you some sort of answer.

Just move on & who knows-maybe later on down the road he'll come back. Like you said, you need to leave him alone & keep the rest of your dignity intact. If you run after him looking desperate it may actually drive him further away. Playing it cool will actually make you look more mature (and therefore more interesting in his eyes).

Just walk away and try to forget about him...it's the only mature thing to do. Think about it. When you're 42, he'll be almost 60 and thats OLD!! You would end up being his nurse, spoonfeeding him, changing his diapers, etc.
Him breaking up with you is probably the best thing that ever happened to you!

No response needed, he's moving on, and you need to also.
P.S. The best revenge is a happy life well lived, enjoy, and realize in a year you'll know he did you a favor. Good luck.

this is a thought process that i as a man cannot understand.

you can't make someone 'realize' anything they don't feel.

any of this gameplaying you try now (after already asking him back) will only make you look desperate.

tell him (if anything) you believe his decision was the right thing, you both needed something else than you got from the relationship, and you wish him the best of luck.

Tell him you realize that there is too great an age difference
between the two of you, for any mutual understanding.
(You don't have to say which one is more mature.)
Then move on with your life & find someone closer in age.

You can tell him you've decided to move on with your life and move on with it. Then wait a couple of years, until his hair starts falling out, if it hasn't already, and make sure he sees you looking extremely hot and very well-dressed.

The mature thing to do is walk away and get over him. Sounds like a jerk anyway if he can't give you a real answer for leaving.

It sounds like he had you around while it was fun, and now he is looking for younger or someone his age.
I would just move on if I where you. Don't try to get him back. He doesn't want you.
