For some women, yes. However, these women are viewed as desperate and pathetic, and sometimes slutty. Life is always unfair, and sometimes it's unfair in not letting people meet the love of their life when they are young.

I'm only 25, and a childfree lesbian, so this is just an educated guess. but I think it maybe it has something to do with a combination of factors:
1. woman are starting to panic that in less than a decade they will be 40, and they haven't gotten married yet. 30 a pretty typical age for marriage/beginning a family, and once woman pass that age by without a man on her arm, she probably goes into a bit of a panic. this will fuel her desire to be more aggressive.
2. I'm pretty sure that a woman's sexual peak is in her 30's. nuff said.
3. men aren't chasing her quite as much anymore because they are chasing after 20-somethings. someone needs to pick up the slack.

I don't think it's desperation or age.I think it's because some women are tired of the cat and mouse games. Life is too short to sit around and be a wallflower, I'd rather just get out there and be myself, and if I catch a few mice in the process, cool. Who cares anyway, it's about having fun isn't it?
