Among many things.... one main thing- and it all starts with Jesus.
How does Jesus have no human father? Does this mean that God...did you know... with Mary? Even if its like a miracle or something, it still reminds me of the old Greek myths where Zeus or something impregnated mortal women....ie VERY paganistic. Same thing with "Son of God". This is like a pagan Greek myth, where Heracles ( Greek for Hercules) and Perseus or something were half-human, half-god, sons of gods.
And how is there 3 gods? Jesus, God, and then a"holy ghost". What is a holy ghost? This has nothing to do with Halloween right? I thought not.
The crucifix with Jesus on it? That really, really, looks like an idol. You know, the ones that you keep in your pocket and/or the ones that hang on the wall. I mean, how are you supposed to pray in peace when there's an almost life-size figure of some guy bleeding to death on a cross right above your head? Looks like pagan idols to me.

Hope this isn't trollish. Peace

Actually you are very correct though no or most Christians would never admit it.

Christianity is made up of several Pagan religions of ancient times and some have even said that are pagan that the Christian god is really Zeus hence Jesus and the Arch angels are really the other gods like Apollo, Aphrodite, Hercules etc.

Its an interesting view point. I cannot say if it is false or true but it is factual that Christianity HAS taken pagan holidays and changed them into Christian because the common folk of ancient days would not stop celebrating them even though the Church tried to stop them, so rather than keep fighting a losing battle they adapted and assimilated many things over time from other faiths into Christianity,

My words all come from historical books i have read and studied, this is not from a Religious perspective i am talking purely historical and theoretical because there is no proof yet one way or the other if gods do or do not exist. Id like to think they do but one can never be truly certain.

SO I can definitely see your point and no I do not think you are being trollish but are using your brain to ask intelligent questions about things that do not add up to you and you want answers too rather than just making it up yourself. that shows intellect and openness in my eyes.

good luck

Ok so I will try real hard to answer this...God impregnated Mary with the holy spirit He basically placed Jesus in her womb. God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit are one in the same b/c Jesus IS God and they are both the Holy Spirit and they are all one in the same. In my religion we don't hang up crosses and such simply because He isn't on the cross anymore He rose from the grave and His spirit (the Holy Ghost) lives in our hearts. The answer to this question will differ people interpret the bible differently I think some keep crosses to remind themselves of what he did for them. I hope this answered your question. Edit: As for the people above me saying that God is Zeus and the bible is based on Zeus and hercules ummm HELLO!! the bible was written before all that stuff so I don't know where they get off saying thats were christians got there info from when the bible was written FIRST!

Matt.1:1-17; The genelogy of the earthly family of Jesus. Mary was of Nathan, Joseph her husband was of the lineage of Jechoniah and all from David.

The spirit is the life of the soul, in the womb, the spirit of God gives the life.
No different with Jesus. Eccl.11:5; If in the grave or just dead, all is needed is the spirit of life from God Eze.37:12-14; Psm.104:29,30; Gen.6:3; we are imperfect and life here is short, but once made perfect by Christ John 3:16; 17:3; 1Cor.15:22-28; and connected to the creator, there is life after the resurrection.

You have to begin with the belief that God can do anything. He can take the form of man, destroy mighty armies, create a new life, create all we have. Once you have that belief, it all falls into place. Jesus had no human father because God didn't need to use one to make Jesus human. The fact that Jesus existed in Mary's womb without the help of a human male party involved simply means that God willed Jesus to be there as a child waiting to be born.

There are not three gods - there is one God. The trinity represents God in three roles for humans. God the Father is the creator of all, is responsible for all and watches over all. Jesus as God's Son was made human so He could die for all and give us the opportunity to allow Him to sacrifice Himself to erase the sin we live with every day. God the Holy Spirit (Holy Ghost) is an everyday manifestation of God in our lives, filling us with the desire to do well by our friends, neighbors and acquaintances. The Holy Spirit is kind of what we refer to as our conscience - making us realize when we are doing wrong, giving us both the strength and the inclination to help others, and pushing us in the right direction in all we do.

The key to it all, however, is that we need to WANT God. We need to believe that our lives are better because of His presence. We need to believe that through Him we will have eternal life once our time here is done. We need to open the door to Him, because he does not open it Himself. He is there if we want Him, but the choice must be our own.

I don't necessarily know the complete answer to all of your questions, but I am going to take a stab at them.

1) No, God did not have sex with Mary as found in Greco Roman mythology. God caused her to conceive--- I don't know how, but since He designed the human body I am willing to accept that He can cause it to function in ways not normally possible. The word "virgin" is not applied to the humans who were supposed to have produced children of the assorted members of the Greek or Roman pantheons.
Note also that Christ was without blemish--- every "hero" had hubris--- a fatal flaw.

There is one God. He has multiple aspects including three that we know of from the Bible:
1) God the Father/Creator
2)Jesus Christ - fully God and fully man
3)the Holy Spirit or Holy Ghost, sometimes referred to as the Spirit - God's power present in individual believers in Christ

The crucifix is one of a number of denominational issues. Some protestants feel that the crucifix fails to recognize the risen Christ. Part of the protestant reformation was to remove certain religious relics and/or icons from houses of worship based on claims of idolatry. The crucifix is intended to serve as a reminder of Christ's sacrifice for sin.

Yes, the church did incorporate aspects of pagan beliefs, rituals, dates, and ceremony into the Christian calendar and some religious rites; however, many of these aspects have lost their former pagan association for the general population over time. These issues are not part of Christian theology, but are more likely to appear in methodology. One example is that December 25th is not the day Christ was born, but it is the day Christians celebrate the birth of Christ.

you're in basic terms rollin' this night, are not you? i think of that non-Christians think of that they comprehend Christianity extra suitable than they actually do. in maximum situations, yet no longer all. and to no longer attack them in any respect -- it rather is in uncomplicated terms a rely of actively being far off from something. In 1991-1996, i'd desire to recite the great Atlanta Braves commencing lineup, their 5 starters, and the nearer. Now, i'm nevertheless what i'd call a no longer ordinary center fan, yet i can't do this anymore. With an entire-time activity, a spouse, and this blinkin' Yahoo element, i do no longer provide as lots time to baseball as I did. Ex-Christians (or non-Christians), same element. i think of that our ideals are misrepresented very regularly on right here. yet, in lots of situations, that's being accomplished by ability of youthful (faithwise) Christians and/or trolls. And, we ourselves do no longer continuously comprehend each little thing completely. it rather is a less than excellent worldwide -- we see by using a tumbler darkly. to no longer make an excuse for our errors, honest errors, despite the fact that it rather is what it rather is. i'd desire to stand to examine lots extra, yet I answer as ideal i will with what i comprehend to be authentic and what i think to be authentic. If I study in any different case, from the Scriptures or a distinctive interpretation that follows the Scriptures, i'd of path alter my place. Have a great night!

One God=1 name =Jesus
3 titles, Father, Son, Holy Ghost, Just as you may be considered by many titles...father,brother,son, uncle, friend but you have a name and regardless to your titles you still answer to that name. When you write a check you don't sign it "father" "son" "brother" you sign it with your name. His name is JESUS!

Immaculate conception refers to clean, undefiled, pure and Mary was pure at conception and remained so until after the birth of Christ. Christianity has nothing to do with greek mythology. The title mythology refers to a work of fiction. The Bible is the Living word of God and in no way myth.

The cross is a symbol...it's the image that's reminds us of the price that was paid for our Salvation. He knew that his people were struggling with the law, that through their lack of commitment and their own humanity they,...... "we" ,were unable to fulfill the "law" he therefore made himself the SUPREME sacrifice that all might be able to have everlasting life.

I personally wear no Jewelry at all but if I did it would be the cross. For me it is a simple reminder that he loved me enough to take a punishment that should have been mine. So I have a chance. I am able to simply go and pray and say Lord, it's me....I'm sorry for my sin, forgive me and then I can move on. I don't have to be beaten or stoned or put to death...HE PAID THAT PRICE IN FULL!

our earthly families are created in the image and likeness of the true and perfect family: The Holy Trinity (God)!

the eternal God in his deepest mystery isn't a solitude (alone), but a family of self-giving life and love between The Father and The Son. Their love is so real that it begets a third person: The Holy Spirit. God is Love, but love requires atleast 2 people. Therefore the Triune God perfectly shows love.

A married man and women image the Triune God during sexual intercouse, when they give their life and love to eachother to beget a baby 9 months later!

That's because Christianity was based on Paganism. And yes, they took the whole son of god thing from Greek Mythology, the bible itself as whole is just another mythology, the bible has everything in common with other mythologies, god(s), unexplained "miracles", a story of creation, a story of destruction (the flood/the plagues), it also takes things from reality and makes it seem as if itself is a real thing.

If you all want some logic, this world is what Mars used to be, as scientists have said, there used to be water on Mars. If you want my opinion, the people that lived on Mars probably polluted it with so much carbon dioxide that the world became too hot and all the water evaporated eventually killing everything. Just as what this world is going to be become.

God impregnated Mary by artificial insemination in some manner, leaving her virginity intact. The church of Jesus Christ L.D.S. also looks upon the cross as something not to base a religion on. We believe in a live and resurrected Jesus. The Holy Ghost is a spirit who resides in spirit form to help people. However even as the Holy Ghost is able to whisper to your spirit so is the devil able to do the same thing as he also is in spirit form.
