You won't get an answer. They just say "believe."

OK, believe in the tooth fairy
Believe you'll win the lottery
Believe you will own the world
Live in disillusion

I'm a lifelong Catholic. I don't think I've ever read a book on Catholic theology or apologetics that ever gave "because the Bible said so" as a reason. If you've ever attempted to study Catholic theology, you'll find that it's incredibly complex and detailed. "Because the Bible says so" is more of a notorious Protestant Fundamentalist approach to religious questions. Catholic theologians pride themselves on a long tradition of intensive scholarship, and "the Bible says so" won't cut it as an answer in any Catholic seminary anywhere.

We have never said the Bible is the sole infallible guide to Christian doctrine and practice. You are sadly mistaken. Divine revelation is transmitted to us through Sacred Scripture, Sacred Tradition and the teaching authority of the Church.

Here is the official teaching of the Church regarding your question.

"There exists a close connection and communication between Sacred Tradition and Sacred Scripture. It is not from Sacred Scripture alone that the Catholic Church draws her certainty about everything that has been revealed. Therefore both Sacred Tradition and Sacred Scripture are to be accepted and venerated with the same sense of loyalty and reverence.

Sacred Tradition and Sacred Scripture form one sacred deposit of the word of God committed to the Church. The task of authentically interpreting the word of God whether written or handed on has been entrusted exclusively to the teaching office of the Church whose authority is exercised in the name of Jesus Christ. This teaching office is not above the word of God, but serves it, teaching only what has been handed on.

It is clear that Sacred Tradition, Sacred Scripture and teaching authority of the Church, in accord with God's most wise design, are linked and so joined together that one cannot stand without the other."

science gives solid answers?

Like the science that said Pluto was a planet. . . opps, it is just a big rock.

The science that says SIDS (Sudden Infant Death Syndrom) can be prevented if a child sleeps on their left. . . 5 years later, on the right. . . 2 years later, on their back. Hmmm, which is it?

For the record. . . as a Catholic, I have NEVER said "Because the Bible says so."

Few are leaders, most are followers,(sheep that is)! I guess it depends on ones need to believe in something instead of just believing in yourself.

I have never actually seen people say 'because the bible says so'

I believe because I have felt Him working in my life.
