catnip is a natural herb and will not harm your kittens. Eating it is not harmful. It's used in making teas for Humans as well.
The oils in catnip gives a cat a temporary high, I would only get worried if they start stealing your stuff to sell for money to buy more catnip.

it is ok for them to eat but I would be very sure that the catnip has not been treated with pesticides first. I grow my own catnip in pots on my back porch. I clip it as it grows and wash it and then dry it in a dehydrator, then I can keep it in zip top bags. (make sure to remove dried stems as they can harm their throats) The small city that I live in is always spraying for bugs and I can't stop them but I do wash all of my vegetables and herbs (like catnip) before I use it.

It's okay for them to eat, and roll in it. We don't like it getting all over the place so we buy the catnip spray. The cats go just as crazy.

I buy catnip balls from a site on ebay. They are called pawbreakers. They bat the balls around for hours and they are edible. It is fine for your cat to eat catnip. If you would like to check out the balls I am posting the link.

No problem at all. The local health food store has catnip tea bags - for people - I give my cat a tea bag on occasion, she has a great time with it. The tea is good for people too, try it some time, very relaxing. A billion cats can't be wrong.

Catnip is an herb that is like recreational drugs for cats. Obviously they can't smoke it or snort it. Did you know that some cats aren't affected by catnip at all?

It is okay for them to eat it. My cat wasn't interested in catnip until he was older and now he thinks it is great.

It's perfectly OK, as catnip is a form of grass, and they actually sell it live, for cats to eat.

They can eat it, but some cats will throw it up again if they eat too much of it. It depends on the cat.
