I have a Toshiba 1080P FULL HD. But when I watch TV, it says its on 1080i. I was wondering how to switch the mode to 1080p?

Your TV ALWAYS displays in 1080p.
What you see when you press Info is the resolution of the TV Input. If the input is 1080i, the TV will scale it automatically to 1080p.
Broadcast HDTV is either 1080i or 720p.

Im sorry but when you are watching tv you cannot see 1080p. HD programs are in 720p or 1080i. Eventually they will all broadcast in 1080p but for now 720p or 1080i.

Sorry to tell ya but u cant switch between i and p . They stand for they way the tv displays the picture on the screen i (interlace) p (progressive). Basically it means that with 1080i the tv refreshes the display every even line than every odd number line it refreshes so fast your eye never notices. usually 8 ms. or .008 seconds. with progressive it refreshes every line in order. So depending on what tv u bought u can't change between 1080p and 1080i. Hope this answers your question.

Get a PS-3....OR a Blu-Ray player...those do 1080P, 1080i is mostly for TV signals rather than Games/DVDs .
