Tell her you have a great riddle you want to ask her (Say,"You look like a smart girl, here, I have a riddle for you..") Take her hand and hold it, palm up (hold on to her hand). Take your finger and trace down the main line in her palm and say "This is a river." Tap the mound on her palm by her thumb and say "On this riverbank, there's a bunny." well I have some of my own that I have used in the past, but it depends on the girl honestly. you have to know how to read a girl and know exactly what to say to her to get her attention but not in a negative way. Honestly, the best pick up line will get her to acknowledge you and talk to you in any form. thats the first step, get her attention and get her to talk to you, doesnt matter what about. Then you make small talk for a bit until you can see she is comfortable talking to you and actually wants to be talking to you. Then depending on where you are, you can get her something such as if you are at a bar you can buy her a drink. but dont start with that, some girls use guys to buy them drinks. make them think you just wanted to meet them and then you want to continue your conversation over a drink or 2.

But in the past I have walked up to a girl and said "Im honestly not trying to hit on you but you have beautiful eyes" and as soon as i said that, she wouldnt stop talking to me the rest of the night...

EDIT - Just so you know, dont walk up to a girl and say "whats your name?" or anything like that. that wont get her attention that easily and it wont get her mind off of thinking "he just wants to do me". you need an ice breaker that will make her think "wow, who is this guy?" THEN you can ask them their name, etc
