I'm trying to lose 20 pounds but every night at dinner i end up overeating. My parents cook the food and it always turns out so good. How do i keep myself from eating too much?

If you eat breakfast, then snack, lunch then snack then by dinner you shouldn't be very hungry and you won't over eat. Drink lots of water at least 8-10 glasses per day.
Snacks ideas: carrots, celery, 4 or 6 oz of yogurt (fat free, or low fat). There is lots of website that can give you an idea of what to eat per day per meal etc.
Good luck and you know you didn't gain the 20 lbs overnight so don't get discouraged if the pounds don't start coming off immediately.
PS: My weakness is also my dinner time, so I now drink one or two 16 bottles water before dinner and alway have a snack usually about 6 mini carrot something that takes long to chew, about 1 1/2 or two before i go to bed, keeps me from waking you hungry.

Try eating a salad before dinner with low cal/ low fat dressing. When you put dinner on your plate put more veggies and watch your portion sizes, dont go back for seconds. You can also try to eat slowly and try to avoid eating in front of the tv. Make sure you are eating throughout the day so you aren't starving when dinnertime comes because it will be harder to control yourself. Once a week allow yourself to cheat and this will help so you dont feel like you are being cheated, but remember only once a week. Its hard I have been there but if you keep trying you will get there! Good Luck

Very simple. Eat an Apple before dinner. And if they make salad. Eat that first. Then eat the rest of what they cook.

Most Nutritionists will say it is not the steak, however how a lot. I believe it is like two-4oz is viewed a serving & such a lot steaks run 6-12oz. I'd go browsing to look the scale (cooked) of what you must devour (I believe it is the measurement of your fist is a serving). Baked potatoes are excellent, however watch the extras. Your excellent wager is one million/two butter, one million/two Molly McButter seasoning (cuts the fats of butter, however you get the flavour). You can upload slightly milk to the potatoe for moisture to support. Pepper, chives do not upload to the carb/fats content material.

Tell your parents ahead of time to only make enough food so that you will only have one portion to eat.
