What are you thoughts on this? One just came into our small very family nased town. "Cowgirls" was the name of it. I wonder if any woman actually go their..I doubt it.
As a female I think its very degreading, that they have to wear almost nothing at all to get better tips and more money for the business. Its funny because they have brain washed themselves into thinking this is right and flaunting yourself around like this is ok. If your a hooker yes I suppose it is ok. But then shouldn't you be on the corner and not working at the coffee stand. I give it to girls who are beautiful and do NOT do this kind of thing. They have true class..and at least starbucks still has class as well.
Why not use your brains and do something to better this world not attract freaks. What is our society coming to? Not only that but they are pretty much giving invitations for creepy men to stalk them and even worse by carrying on this way. Is it really worth it?
As a smart female..I say NO.

You are describing the front for a hooker operation. "Ladies" who don't act like ladies, are not ladies. On the other hand, I'm all for freedom of choice, liberation of women, and less government in our lives. I don't use prostitutes, but I think that they have established a place in the history of the world that is NOT going away. I think an adult woman should be able to sell sex if she wishes without having to hide behind the guise of a coffee server. The same goes for men buying or selling. The world would be better off with more honesty and fewer people trying to control others' morals.

I'm not saying it's right, but how can you act like it's something new? At least four out of five restaurants and/or bars I've been to have female servers wearing either short skirts or tight pants. They must be getting better tips or they wouldn't do it. And by the way, I've seen plenty of cleavage at Starbucks. It depends on the neighborhood I guess. I don't think I can blame anyone for using what they can to get more in their jobs. If I have a photographic memory and use it to profit how is that better than using a seductive smile? God gave everyone a unique set of tools.

I think it is disgusting, and I would be ashamed if my daughter ever tried to work at such a place. That said though, the girls who work there may need the money to support their families, or pay their student loans, or what not.
While it's not morally right, sometimes women do what they can to get ahead. You can work as a waitress and give perfect service, working long hard hours, and you are going to make less than these trashy girls at the coffee shop. Perhaps if other employers paid a fair living wage, then girls wouldn't have to turn to such professions.

I don't think it's appropriate, but it's not degrading either. They applied for the job and were told what they would be asked to do. They still chose to work there. Nothing degrading about making your own choice.
P.S.- You don't know those women so you have no right to decide whether they are brainwashed or have class.
