Hi, I applied to become a police officer. I was sent a letter to take the written test, however I missed it due to an emergency.
What do i do next? Will they let me reschedule or will they dismiss my application because I wasn't able to take the test?

Depending on the agency, you will need to either call personnel and reschedule the test, or you may have to completely reapply.
The first thing you need to do is call personnel tomorrow morning. Be guided by what they tell you.

You will have to wait until there is another written test and re-apply. They are not going to schedule a make-up test to fit in with your schedule.

Having said that, missing this test won't be held against you when you apply next time around.

I can't tell you, you need to call them. My department would let you take the next one because we need so many people.

You should call your AC ASAP, so they don't think you are a sleazball who ditched on them. Communication is key here. It better have been a good emergency.

You'll have to ask them. What was the emergency? Hope it wasn't something like your cat got sick or you got tickets to a concert or something.
