My boyfriend's birthday is coming up. I was thinking of getting him:a basketball(leather;he loves basketball), a book he has been wanting, and depending how much $$$ it is a jersey for his favorite athlete. I also want to surprise him and have him come over and cook his favorite food for him. Does this seem like too much? All tips are accepted. Thanks!

Any one of these would be a good present.
Save some for Christmas and your "anniversary" (could be one month, six month or one year).

Perhaps depends on how old you guys are and at what stage you guys are. Just do not spoil him.
My personal opinion, it is too much. I think Basketball and diner is perfect.

The gifts seem very thoughtful. If I were him, I would like it. If he's a caring person, I'm sure he'll appreciate it. Good luck.

He might be afraid at first that your going to ask him to marry him. Showering him with gifts is not always a good thing.

But it all seems good just don't give him everything in one shot.
