we live in a million dollar house in fairfield county, ct. they make 250,000plus a year. we have a summer house worth 750,000, a house in florida, and a house in colorado, and a timeshare in maui and hawaii. and yet, we are "broke"
yesterday was homecoming, and we didnt even have fifteen dollars for me to get my eyebrows done. i had to collect quarters and pennies from my backpack and pants pockets and turn them into coinstar.
my parents say they've hit a "rough patch". but we've never sunk so low as having to collect pennies to feed ourselves.
what do i do? my parents are reckless and irresponsible and last year they forgot to send my sister money (she was in college in canada) and she almost starved to death and the doctors thought she was anorexic.
ahhh help this is no joke
WHAT THE H E L L do i do???
(i cant get a job im 14 and...no one needs a babysitter in my neighborhood cause most of them have a live in nanny)

I can't give you any words of advise, only comfort. What you are going through must be rough, and changing your lifestyle can be very difficult. I know from past experience that worrying about yourself and the future is not the route to take. Talk to someone about this. Maybe a friend, or a school teacher even. You don't get very specific in your question, and I'm sure that it is difficult to, but speak to someone that knows you and your family. If it is possible, the ideal way to deal with this would be to talk to your parents. Tell them that you are worried.
It may be very difficult to change a way of life, and I can't believe people will judge you by your concerns. I wish you best of luck, and just know that you are not alone.

There isn't to much you can do, except to learn that you can't take all that wealth for granted. It's a shame that you had to hunt for change to have your brows done, at least you didn't have to dig in the dumpster to get something to eat.

Well, first off, use your money responsibly.............. $15.00 to get your eye brows done....... please.............. do them yourself............... and in this day and age, it's not unknown to hit rough patches.......... you might live in the fancy house, but you have a lot of growing up to do........... there are jobs to be had.......... look around.......... you'd be surprised.......... and quit whining, your parents have enough to worry about without you complaining about no money, as for your sister, she is in school and old enough to have a part time job to support her food habit......... hehehe......... my daughter is in college and has two jobs so she can go........... get over yourself little princess......... life is hard, and might just get a little harder......
support your parents........ don't make it rough on them as well...... they have some tremendous worries of their own to deal with without you complaining about your $ 15.00 eyebrows ..............
