I need to know personal experiences of anyone that has taken this medication. I will be taking it soon and am a little worried about it. I got a couple of answers the other day but am looking for a few more opinions please.

I have Fibromyalgia and I have taken every medication recommended for the treatment of Fibromyalgia including Cymbalta. The only thing it did for me was help me sleep better. I did not find that my pain lessened. I have tried a wide variety of the anti depressant medications for Serotonin uptake and they do help you sleep. If you have severe problems sleeping I would recommend you take this medication.

First of all I want to let you know that most of the people I know who are or have taken Cymbalta have had pretty good experiences with it. I on the other hand became severely depressed and even suicidal on it. It seems like this is a very rare side effect but if you start to feel depressed when you first start taking it, be sure to let your doctor know right away. I am by no means trying to defer you away from it or scare you but I just want you to know that this is a small possibility just so you can watch out for the signs. I received a tattoo on my foot in July 2012 and have been taking 60 mgs Cymbalta considering that the establishing of 2012. I did not have any problems however be certain to invite your document should you consider it is fundamental.
