Honey please go to see a doctor and ask him if you need to loose weight. This is what my niece always used to talk about.
I loved her very much. She was such a beautiful child. She died of complications of anorexia last year.
My heart is still broken.
Trust your doctor.
Love and blessings Don

The best way to lose weight is a healthy diet and regular exercise. A healthy diet is one in which you eat fresh fruits and vegetables. Find the ones that you like or encourage your parents to find different ways to cook the ones you don't. (like adding a LITTLE cheese to cauliflower or brocoli etc) Not overcooking vegetables can make a bid difference. I don't like overcooked, soggy vegetables. And steamed in a steamer instead of cooked in water will also help.
And, of course, eat a little less junk food and carbohydrates. Don't cut them out altogether or you will eventually binge on them. It's human nature.
Drink lots of water.
Try to eat more for breakfast (when you have all day to burn it off) and less for dinner.
Exercise doesn't have to be a big deal. Walking a half an hour everyday is good exercise. Do it with a friend or walk the dog. Try to find little ways to incorporate a little extra walking in your day to day activities. For example you could encourage your parents to park a little farther away from the stores/friends/school you go to so that you walk just a little extra each time.
A 'diet' is a really bad idea because you deprive yourself of things that are enjoyable to you and because you may feel hungry too often. YOur body will go into preservation mode and start getting better at storing fat. In the long run 'diets' actually do more harm than good.
Finally, be patient. It takes a long time to lose weight.
But think seriously about how necessary it is to lose weight. As you grow older your body shape changes. You will grow taller and grow into your weight, so to speak. Try not to feel you have to be as skinny as a model.

Here are some good ideas:
1. Do something that gets your heart rate up a bit like, walking, running, biking, and swimming.
2. Eat Whole, Organic foods like: Broccoli, Cabbage, Organic Brown Rice, Spinach, Sweet Potato, Apples, and other fruits and vegetables in their Natural State.
3. Avoid eating corn, white bread, white rice, candy, sodas, chips, and anything else that you already know you shouldn’t be eating.
4. Drink clean water as your beverage of choice. Avoid Fruit drinks and fruit juices (unless YOU juice them yourself)
5. Stop smoking, drinking beer & wine, and drinking coffee.
6. Get 8 hours of sleep each night.
7. Hang out with people who want to be healthy.
8. Avoid anything with High Fructose Corn Syrup.
Tone up the muscles:
1. Join a gym and get a trainer.
2. If you’re short on cash, start a light stretching & yoga regimen.
3. Do push-ups, and light dumbbell curls for the upper body.
4. As I said above, walk, run, swim, and or bike
5. Take an aerobics class, a yoga class, or some other fitness class.
6. Join the local YMCA..
Mental Health:
1. Get a friend to talk to each day about your feelings.
2. If you have some money or insurance, get a counselor to talk to.
3. Learn how to meditate.
4. Join a support group for the issue you’re dealing with.
5. Ask your Higher Self (or God) for guidance.
6. Start keeping a diary or journal about your feelings & thoughts.
7. Write a ‘gratitude’ list every night.
8. Do something that makes you happy each day like: listen to your favorite music, draw, paint, write, or anything creative.
9. Do something for someone else who needs help.

Honey 13 year olds shouldn't be worrying about weight, unless you have an obesity problem and have trouble moving or doing every day tasks. Only then should a doctor decide whether you should diet or not. You're at that awkward stage in life where that's all girls are thinking about, but you need to rise above that and learn to accept who you are. Stop obsessing over weight and FORGET ABOUT IT. You probably look fine. Guys like girls with curves anyway.

This will truly work. Stop eating snacks like little debbie, dunkaroos, cheezits, chips, cookies. Fruits and vegis are ur best friend! also start doing 25 situps before bed. Take some walks if you are allowed to (always take someone with u) join a sport, or just play for fun! stay active and eat healthy. You DONT need a diet, just a healthy lifestyle with plenty of excercise and good foods.

eat matabolism boosting foods. i suggest oatmeal in the moring, protein shakes and maybe a roast beef sandwich for lunch (whole wheat bread, when i say bread i always mean whole wheat) also throught the day have a handful of walnuts or almonds. go running every day, preferably about 4-5 miles starting out and work your way up to more. if your parents own some fitness equipment, lift some weights, do pushups, situps, etc. weight gains wont be obvious, but your figure will change very quickly

your weight will always be going up and down, its no set in stone yet. But, if you want to lower your weight, stop with the snacks and don't eat your schools cafeteria food. I bring a pb&j sandwich and some dried fruit and maybe some cereal. crunches at night will make you feel good too:)
also, get good sleep, I promise it helps.
ps-if crunches arent your thing, run or swim, do something else. It was just that my tummy was the area that peeved me, so I did crunches :)

How much do you want to take off? I'm not for young people losing weight unless they are clinically obese. However, it's always good to develop healthy eating habits no matter what age.
