I don't think nudity has a lot to do with obscenity. Granted, it can lend itself to it, but a beautiful, human body is hardly obscene.
If a nude is portrayed that way; natural, normal and beautiful... I don't understand why someone would find it to be offensive. If it's presented as unnatural and objectified or presented in a way that's degrading... I can see why people would be offended.
The things I find to be obscene generally issue from the lenses of paparazzi, war photographers and bad filmmakers... Nudity has very little to do with it.

The only obscene thing about nudity is clothminded people who freak out at any one naked. Of course, these are the same people who let their children watch people kill, maim, or mutilate people, but go nuts if the child sees a women's breast or anyone genitalia.
Naked is how humans were designed. It is natural. It is "As nature intended"

The English language, with its elaborate generosity, distinguishes between the naked and the nude. To be naked is to be deprived of our clothes, and the word implies some of the embarrassment most of us feel in that condition. The word "nude," on the other hand, carries, in educated usage, no uncomfortable overtone. The vague image it projects into the mind is not of a huddled and defenseless body, but of a balanced, prosperous, and confident body: the body re-formed. In fact, the word was forced into our vocabulary by critics of the early eighteenth century to persuade the artless islanders [of the UK] that, in countries where painting and sculpture were practiced and valued as they should be, the naked human body was the central subject of art.

Like most things in life, there is a "grey" area between the nude as art and the nude as pornography or obscenity. This "grey" area is called "erotica". In the nude as art, the genitalia are usually covered. In the nude as pornography, the genitalia are usually exposed AND flaunted. In the nude as erotica, the genitalia are exposed but not flaunted. Those are (my) general definitions, anyway, for what they're worth.
