Because you know better.

You know, when people use the irony of such lines as "thank God I'm an atheist," some people don't appreciate that you are being ironic. So while it is amusing to play with twists of logic like this, I'm betting you will get at least a few answers that attempt to "prove" you really do believe in God by way of this wording.

The problem with claiming that there is a God with a master plan, and that "non-believers" are part of that plan is that it would imply this God was cruel enough to create some people who were destined to go to hell. If such a God did exist, I would not want to worship such a cruel deity. I'd want to go to battle against him.

Fortunately, God is imaginary.

I think it's more likely that God was a couple of atheist's master plan.

If you can get enough people to believe in your made-up guy, you suddenly get a lot of power and respect from society - not to mention the money.

Yes. Atheists were put here by God to perform the arduous task of being non-believers.

Ah, more "illogical" nonsense.

I will create children, raise them, then tell them not to believe parents raised them.

Now, the next "illogical step..."
How are you asking about "God's master plan" if you don't believe He exists?

Now, where's the Tylenol?

If God didn't want me to be an atheist, then why did He give me free will and cognitive reasoning abilities?

Because you're a clear thinking human being who refuses to be led around by the nose by the Jesus freaks.

We were given choices. He doesn't force anyone to follow him. He's will receive you with open arms if ever you choose to follow him.

If we consider ourselves Christians, Jesus only left us with only two suggestions for dealing with Atheists.

First He ask us not to judge them.

Secondly He ask us to love our neighbor.

Atheists are our neighbors.

End of discussion.

Love and blessings Don
