I am thinking it is more of an atheist quest. It ties in more with evolution than creationism.

That what cracks me up about atheist. They can hold to the belief and possibility that there are aliens, but will not when it implies to God or Jesus.

Beam me up Scotty

I found Little Green Men in Lewisville, Texas. I think they are originally from Ft. Worth, though....

No little green men. Maybe intelligent live somewhere in the Universe. Not necessarily right at this moment. Could be in the future or past.

Atheist.

None of the atheists I know have any belief in little green men. We just allow for the probability of other life in this vast universe. That does not mean we'll receive visitors.

I don't know for sure if there is extraterrestrial life or not. I think there is a good probability of that they may exist. There is even more probability of non-intelligent life in the universe (bacteria, fungus).

I would say that god never mentioned extraterrestrial life in the bible, so it would probably be more in the realm of science.

An atheist.

i'm not convinced, i'm just curious to know. now more than any other time in history, we can actually build the tools that have a serious shot at allowing us to find out (space based telescopes). and if we don't find evidence of LGMs we have still learned something that we didn't know before. i wasn't aware that exploration and discovery were atheist things, but whatever. is pretending to know things that one does not know an exclusively theist trait?

I've got to go with Carl Sagan on this one, when asked what his "gut feeling" was about extraterrestrial life...:

"But I try not to think with my gut. It really is okay to withhold judgment until the evidence is in."

That's a commonality they can both agree on!
