Well I don't want to buy from a franchise like Golden Krust. I want some good ol' homemade jerk chicken/beef/pork. Looking for a good place in queens/nassau but open to all other places.

Badoo's International Restaurant on Church Avenue and East 54th Street and Boston Jerk City on Utica and Foster Avenues - both in Brooklyn - both excellent.

Trust me, you want to go to Brooklyn for this one. Take the 4 to the last stop(Utica Avenue) and you'll be in West Indian food heaven. Try to go to places with a grill, because they grill the jerk chicken and add barbecue sauce to it. The food over there is so good, that you can walk into any West India place and get something good. Try to go to Jamaican places though, because it'll be more authentic.

The other posters are correct- you have to head to Brooklyn. You need to go to a neighborhood with a large Jamaican/Caribbean population, and Brooklyn has many. That way, you know the food is going to be authentic, and really good.

Look, dont do that, you want good jerk chicken you have to make it on your own. There are several great jerk recips that you can make in your oven. The secret to jerk is in the seasoning and the cooks and restaurants in NY dont want to get the real Jamaican pimento, scallion, thyme, scotch bonnet pepper and other ingredients to give it the real taste. If thats what you want you should make it on your own, you can visit http://www.jerk-chicken-recipes.com

You got to go to Brooklyn. Lucky's on Marcus Garvey in bed-sty is good and authentic. Check out any near eastern parkway. That is where the west indies parade is every year.
