If you have found a path you want to follow, and you've come to that path through some thoughtfulness, then dedicating yourself to it can include whatever you feel is most essential to your core beliefs and hopes for this path. Whether it is beginning a journal of ways in which you wish to live your life according to your path, or a small circle wherein you meditate on your choices and view yourself walking this path, or a more elaborate ritual, you should be looking to your intuition for the inspiration, not to "protocal."

(yes, I know, there are those of you who feel that there is, indeed, a protocal and that's fine, but many of us who are solitary must find the path within our hearts.)

The ritual for becoming a pagan is too secret to discuss, but I suppose since it's just you and me, I can tell you.

First you have to decide what manner of pagan you want to be.

Then you learn whatever you need to know about being that sort of pagan.

Then you have to go through the ritual of saying to yourself, "I am X [x being the chosen brand of paganism].

Although the word "pagan" seems to have been adopted and given a restricted meaning by new-agers, all it really means is "non-christian, non-jewish". Look it up if you don't believe me. There is no ritual to becoming a pagan, just adopt a non-christian/jewish religion.

well there is as much or as little involved in becomeing a pagan as you want. most of the pagans I know study for a year and a day, I actualy studied for five years, then they will preform a dedication cerimony. the dedication cerimony changes from coven to coven pagan to pagan, panthon to panthion. to some people it is enough to simply diclare befor a witness what you believe others feel the need to go though elaborate rituals and vows.

Paganism is an umbrella term for so many different beliefs sweetheart
unless you know exactly which one it is , then the rituals involved would vary

Choose that path you wish to follow, study hard and do a dedication ceremony (this can either be with a group you have chosen to join or as a solitary). Then live that path. Most of the evangelistic groups preach their beliefs yet do not live them.

Don't ask me. I live in Taiwan, and "pagan dan" is Chinese for "bacon and eggs". It amuses me to have a pen name.

Paganism was a pre-Christian European religion, demonized to motivate people to convert to Christianity.

I'm Christian myself, and there are many things in Church history of which neither I nor any intelligent and reasonable Christian could be proud.

The answer could not be simpler: All you have to do is live like the rest of the world according to its beliefs and practices. See, in this world there are only two kinds of people, those who live according to God's will and the pagans.
That's all.
