Linda,
I have tattoos on both wrists .. they are both of flowers. Look tasteful and I can wear longsleeves to cover when needed.

Think about what your going to get tattooed there .... your own name you will probably regret. Most do!!

Linda if your questioning yourself and asking what others think then you really dont want it anyway. Tattoos are personal expressions and if you are asking others what they think then its probably a tattoo that you really dont want anyway.

Dont do it right now... if in a year you still want it ... then think about it again... by then getting your own name on yourself will probably be out. .....

I have a tattoo on my right wrist, about an inch above the heel of my palm. A lot of people don't notice I have one there. A co-worker of mine asked me if it was new after working with him for 6 months. I get asked all the time of it is a new tattoo, and I've had it for over 3 years.

I don't agree with the idea of putting your name or middle name on yourself. Seems a little redundant. Like you don't know your own name. I would suggest a symbol that represents you, or has meaning to you. Or, even your Zodiac, or the flower that represents the month in which you were born.

If your going to change the placement of your tattoo because of what people say on the internet your not ready for a tattoo.

Wrist tattoo are a really good placement. The can be very visable when you want them to be but you can also cover them with a watch or long sleeve top. If your worried about it being to visable get a hip tattoo. There are 1000's of lettering tattoos here http://www.bmeink.com/let001.html

Good Luck and think about what you want Linda.

Hi, I'm getting a tatoo today on my wrist of my daughters name. This is the font I'm getting---

http://www.myfonts.com/fonts/blambot/skin-deep-bb/

The way I see it is if I need to cover it up I'll wear a watch.
Or there's makeup you can get to cover it, which is easy enough to apply on your wrist.
The verrrryyy worst case senario if you regret it, is get lazer, you're not entirely stuck forever.

Also I think Linda is spanish meaning pretty, which is translated into 'Bastante'. If you're not sure about having Linda or Pretty as a tattoo you could have it written in Spanish that only you could understand. Do the same with your middle name.

If YOU like it, YOU get it hun!!!

p.s I got it done today and I love it!

The idea of your name is not the best. I think people who are graffitied with tattoos is rather gaudy. What will they look like when they are 65 years old. Can you say, "Insane Elderly Clown Posse"?

I have a tattoo from my Navy days. I was a Search and Rescue Swimmer aboard the USS Enterprise, and have the emblem for SAR swimmers tattooed on my left arm.

If you want one, make it worth it. I learned in the navy, "If you are going to do something, do it right!" Makes sense to me!

Tattoos are awesome, I have 5 myself... but they are all in places where people can only see them if I want them to...

Having a tattoo in such a visible place, is something you might regret later, think long and hard about it...

also about any career you might want to get into in the future, may not seem very professional.

Good Luck!

Any tattoo you get should be on a spot that can be covered on a regular basis.. You may think it's cool now, but in few years when you're working and have to wear a long-sleeve shirt EVERY day to hide it, you won't think it's so cool. Tattoos are for life, think about that.

Linda you sound young, at least I hope your young an idea like that. It may seem cool now, but you will regret it so much one day.

Reasons not to:
1.Nine times out of ten it will look trashy.
2.Most respectable guys will not settle down with you
3.Job interviews would not go well, with a visible tattoo
4.You will have grandchildren one day wanting to do stupid things. You need stay in a position to give them sound reliable advice.

I know a lot about nothing, but a little about everything.
I hope this helps.

Well... it's ALWAYS going to show and be visible in most every instance, for the rest of your life.

There might be times later in life where you wish you hadn't got a tattoo there.

But if you do, at least it will only be a name. The content could also be embarrassing to you later. But letters seem fairly safe.

I think the wrist is one of the more logical places for a tat in the long run. This is the last place on your body that will sag and hang when you age, so the tat will stay in good condition, asthetically speaking.
