I have 4 boys and 1 girl and she is dating. My sons are very very over protective with her and who she sees. They screen her calls and watch her like a hawk. she is 17 and they are 23,20,18 and my 6 feet 13 yr. old. She is really tired of it, she feels she is a big girl and take care of herself. She is a tough girl but she wants her privacy. She feels her brothers are over bearing and embarassing. I have asked them to back of a little, she is a very pretty girl and has a very curved body for her age. Sometimes I look at as a good thing but maybe it could be a bad thing cause it could ruin her relationships. Her boyfriend is not intimidated by them,he understands they are just protecting her and has assured them that he won't hurt her. What should I do to stop them?

find girlfriends for all of them?

but seriously, you're their mother, put your foot down and just tell them to stop and leave her alone =)

PS.trust your daughter and make her feel that she is trusted, she will be more careful about her choices if you do =)

if her boyfriend understands, then there's not a problem. i'm sure they all have a mutual agreement... your daughter will be fine and is lucky to have brothers who look out for her. they know she's attractive and don't want to see her being used.

i think it's nice. gently remind the boys to go easy once in a while...?

take care. it sounds like you have a nice family over there!

I have four brothers

I'm the only girl. Yes, brothers are protective which they should be. My brother helped me a lot through out school years. Whenever boys talked about me, my brother was there kicking their behind

Might after all be a good thing! Any guy that hangs around to put up with it MAY be a keeper. If not, they aren't worth her time. All in all, the guy she dates will know not to treat her bad!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't. Boys know better. And your daughter should be thankful for them.
