01) Being gay is not natural. Real Americans always reject unnatural things like eyeglasses, polyester, and air conditioning.

02) Gay marriage will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that hanging around tall people will make you tall.

03) Legalizing gay marriage will open the door to all kinds of crazy behavior. People may even wish to marry their pets because a dog has legal standing and can sign a marriage contract.

04) Straight marriage has been around a long time and hasn’t changed at all like many of the principles on which this great country was founded; women are still property, blacks still can’t marry whites, and divorce is still illegal.

05) Straight marriage will be less meaningful if gay marriage were allowed; the sanctity of marriages like Britney Spears’ 55-hour just-for-fun marriage would be destroyed.

06) Straight marriages are valid because they produce children. Gay couples, infertile couples, and old people shouldn’t be allowed to marry because our orphanages aren’t full yet, and the world needs more children.

07) Obviously gay parents will raise gay children, since straight parents only raise straight children.

08) Gay marriage is not supported by religion. In a theocracy like ours, the values of one religion are imposed on the entire country. That’s why we have only one religion in America.

09) Children can never succeed without a male and a female role model at home. That’s why we as a society expressly forbid single parents to raise children.

10) Gay marriage will change the foundation of society; we could never adapt to new social norms. Just like we haven’t adapted to cars, the service-sector economy, or longer life spans.

I do not wish to ban 'gay marriage'.
I think that each and every person has the right to their decisions, and to face the consequences of such.
For it is written, 'each one will face the accounting of their actions'. (paraphrased).

Great satire mate! I'm not against it, as long as they don't bug me why should I oppose their lifestyle? I've got friends and I can assure everybody you're born that way, it's not a choice, just as people are straight or blond, whatever
By the way, I've just read that one the people who answered this said America's forefathers were not Christians. I would highly recommend you to start reading some history books babe! They may have not professed your branch of Christianity but they were Christians indeed; most of them expelled from England. Christianity is way subdivided into many different branches, it's not just the Catholic and the Protestants but also the Orthodox and all the subdivisions. What unites them all is that they all believe that Jesus was the Mesiah.

Canada legalized gay marriage I'm happy to say. The more rights citizens have the better off the country is. It has nothing to do with religion. If you don't believe in it churches do not have to acccept it. But the law should.

What do you want a theocracy?

Great satire, I loved reading this the first time around when it was forwarded to me, and it's good to see it here, too.

That having been said, for every idiot here quoting the Old Testament god's supposed disapproval of something as a reason for passing laws affecting people who don't believe in Ol' Jehovah, I have one question. Do you eat shellfish and/or pork? If so, why do you feel that the prohibition against those things (your god calls them an 'abomination') is invalid, while the supposed prohibition against homosexuality is valid? That smells like a double standard to me.

Sharon... according to most Christians, Jesus' resurrection made the Old Law (Leviticus), obsolete. Read Leviticus again..there's a whole lot of stupid laws that aren't at all followed by the Church in it. It was written for the Isrealites, not the Christians.

Great list, btw...

I've actually seen this list before on another website. But hey, until no one believes all this homosexuality is immoral crap anymore, it still makes perfectly valid points. So post it all you want! :D

11. I'll have to remember to buy His and His towels for the new couple.
Think about the profound effect that will have on my life.

I have a feeling some people didn't bother reading the whole thing.

*sigh*

Completely amazing, and thank you.

MixedGurl had to say that gay marriage is against God's word? If God is so against gay people, then why did he supposedly "create" them?

*applause*

You get a star.

Edit:
Seems a few people read the question and that's it... they need to read the rest and understand sarcasm. As for the woman who said it violates god's law and has nothing to do what religion your in.... WRONG. My faith says there's nothing wrong with gay marriage. *sigh* Ignorant people.
