I am a 19 year old female. I recently went on a first date with this guy and afterwards, he invited me back to his place. I said sure, with intentions of just hanging out for a little bit then leaving.

At his apartment, he wanted to get physical, as in more than just making out. I did not want this. My friends say it was my mistake to say 'yes' to going back to his place. So should I fault him for being too forward (I'm not into guys that like to get physical so quickly) or is it my fault for saying yes when I should have followed the "rule" that an invitation back to the place equals "getting some"?

sorry there are no "rules" --- if you were enjoying yourself then yes you were correct to go back to his place --- his mistake was thinking that you did so for reasons other than enjoying his company --- best wishes

Kind of a tough one here. In a way, yes you can fault him, but how pushy was he? If he made you uncomfortable and kept pestering you after you said no, then i would not see him again.

But if he was just making a move and then backed off when you werent interested, give him another chance. Typically when someone asks you to come up to their room after a first date they want to get down to business. The guy is probably not a creep, he probably just thought you wanted to have sex, and hey, can you blame him? lol

His fault. Since when does an invitiation back to the house equal 'getting some'? It might be just for coffee or a movie or a goodnight chat or whatever.

No, this is not your fault. Going back to a male's house is not a problem, just let him know that you are not into rushing into a relationship - physical or otherwise.

this is not your fault--dont let people tell you that it is. You can say no whenever you want to, at whatever point you want too. It would be his fault if he forced you to do anything you didnt want to do. (rape) then go to the cops. but there is no rule that says if you go the the guys place you will give them sex. as long as you say hey this is as far as its going to go then thats fine.

hope that helps.

Its very sad, but you should follow the "rule". Thanks to the decline of morals, many feel that sex on a first date is not only okay, but expected.
