I just had a family member tell me that I need to leave the LDS Church. When I asked why it is they felt that way, they responded:
"Well, no other church will recognize your baptism."

WHAT? How about this, o family member, I don't recognize your church! How does the fact that your church doesn't like me make my faith any less valid?

O, ye fundies with no undies, what maketh you think I need your approval to worship the way I choose?

I'm waiting for this, i'm all fired up...

Nope, family matters aside, this isn't the first time I heard something like that.

I DO have a personal relationship with God. He hears me and answers my prayers. The prophet is not my mediator, he is a voicepiece for my Father.

lmao, they seem so focused on mine, might as well point out the fact that they don't have to wear them...

Look, my JW aunt thinks that we are all going to heck. When she knew about my Mormon baptism she freaked out, every time I see her she gives me a bunch of JW papers and stuff... I know not all JWs are like that but maaaannnnn... I can relate to you. How about the people in the streets that for nothing, just ask what church you go to and they freak out saying that we are racists and blah blah BLAH! the cool thing is that they say I'm racist and I'm NOT white hahahhahhaha!

Hmm... just follow your heart and follow what you know it's true, you will find many haters and people telling you bad things about it, just keep your head up and stand up for what you believe. Remember that we can't change anyone's mind neither. Hugs to you and love and respect that member of your family anyways, be an example to her, OK?

Edit: LOL, i got kinda serious answering but hey! that fundies no undies thing was soooooooooo hilarius, lol. and they have no undies and make fun of our garments, lol

"Love is not easily provoked."--1 Corinthians 13:5. .... Those who have little love will be easily angered and offended. Let us keep self down, and diligently continue the work of its crucifixion, looking ever to Him from whom cometh our help. The love which our Lord appreciates is longsuffering.

I am not judging you, as a person. But, I can say that I see no love, in your question/rant.

I'm with you! Most of my family doesn't approve of the LDS Church, too. I got sick and tired of their looking down on me. At least now they aren't so obvious about it.

You have the gospel, you know the truth. Just remember that we aren't supposed to argue religion. Just stand up for what's right. You have the truth to back you up.

I am not a fundie, but I could care less about approving of you or getting your approval. There are too many kind people in the world.

I get fired up when I am attacked for no reason.

Forget it and get over it. Go get some boxing gloves and duke it out with whatever family member dissed you.

Don't take it out on innocent people who have done nothing. That is quite unfair. Be mature enough to stand up to whoever, but leave us out of it.

My approval means little, however my advice is, that all are in need of God's approval, which is available through covenant relationship with his son,Jesus Christ. Some will hear and accept my advice, some will not. I am a simple wayshower,Jesus is the way.

Good question, I don't understand people like that myself (I am also LDS). I'd just be like "Ok, if I want to join your church I'll get baptized into it, but until then I'm happy where I am."

I love that statement. "O ye fundies with no undies..."

Ask your family member to explain to you what Hebrews Chapter 7 means to them???

I feel your pain bowman. My siblings are constantly telling me they're worried that I am delusional. They also accuse me of abusing my children through brainwashing.
It's like, you know what? I don't tell them how to live their life. I just want them to be happy. I have never told them that they need to come back to church or that they're "living in sin" or going to hell or anything. Why can't they treat me with the same respect?

You need God's approval for how you worship, and his ONLY. Please make sure you have it.

EDIT: Do you have a personal relationship with God? You're only communication with God should not be through a prophet. Go into PRAYER, and ask God yourself, directly.
