The company that makes Purina also makes a litter box specifically designed for dogs, as well as a special dog litter. I don't really know how well this works, but I work at a pet store and we sell quite a bit of the stuff, so it must work well.

Yes my Mom and I have Chorkies and they go in the litter box . I know of other small breed dogs that are trained for litter boxes . Great idea , and easy too , for the dog and owners . Don't try bull mastiffs or any other large dog , I don't think they will fit ! (LOL)

I have a min. dachshund a it is box trained. We didn't buy a special box we just bought a plastic storage container meant for use under the bed, took the lid off and put newspapers in it. Works great and no worries about going out in the rain.

Yes. My dance teacher has a chihuahua who uses a litter box. But this is also the dog that has more clothes than I do, and has to be hand fed her food. Not because she is sick, but because she is spoiled. But my dance teacher is not married and she doesnt have any kids, so she has to spoil someone. This dog has, like, 3 beds, just in the dance studio !
