Depending on what kind of flea drops you put on her.. this could be the reason she is losing hair. These things are very toxic chemicals in which some of them totally burn the skin on certain dogs for whatever reason. You need to call the vet and tell them what you have tried and ask them if you can come in and pick up a capstar and frontline.. Wont cost much more then 10 bucks.
Be sure to tell them what all you have done to her so far so that they can advise how long you need to wait in between doses of whatever you used and the frontline.. You should be able to do the capstar right away which will kill any flea on her with in 24 hours... They will come back though if they are in her environment.

What kind of drops? If they were from a store, don't expect them to work.

You ALWAYS need to treat the environment when you have a flea problem - pick up something decent from a vet. While you there, get some Frontline, Advantage or Revolution if you haven't already and make sure you part the animal's fur so you can get it ALL on the skin, not on the fur.

Very possibly your dog has a flea allergy so I would really take her to the vet to be checked when you go to get the treatment.

Alcohol and water isn't enough. And flea collars and shampoo are not bad at all. But if you are that concerned about it then look into holistic ways. Like Zap spray. Or ask you vet for more holistic and safe ways to prevent fleas and ticks. And use a flea killer on you bed and wash the sheets, fleas spread quickly.
